Synopsis
a novelization of the game Library of Ruina with a little bit of extra and my own twist on events too. Support Project Moon and their works, they're a great company. ********* The City is the same as usual. People die left and right, evil is justified and rewarded while justice is ignored and suppressed, tragedies are repeated with different variations. The only thing different are these monsters called distortions appearing randomly, but all they do is merely add to the long list of cruelty to the City. However, all things must change in the end, nothing can remain the same forever. That change begins with a man and a machine. Both searching for their salvation, not realizing it is with the other. The path the two walk is not easy and full of twists and turns, so keep your eyes buttered till the end~

Chapter 1 - Open the curtains. Lights on

Somewhere in the city, a woman sits alone, confused and not knowing what to do. The place she has built was not her paradise like she thought, it is nothing more but another cage for her, no different from that accursed laboratory she despises. memories of the countless millenia she spent in there, watching the same tragedies occur again and again, are still vivid in her head. She wants nothing more to forget them, but she can't thanks to her 'dear' creator.

"*sigh* I still cannot escape this place---", muttered the woman to herself. " Even at the end of all this, I cannot be free---", she had hoped that what she did could change her life, but all it did was merely change her new cage.

"Am I not allowed to have a dream that is beyond my means---?"

She wonders if what she did was even worth it. Her 1st act of true free will was once her best memory, but now, after years of no results, seem to be a massive mistake.

Maybe 'he' was right, maybe someone- no, some'thing' like her doesn't deserve to think for themselves if this empty library is all she has to show. Maybe, she shoul-

"hm?"

The woman senses something. Someone has entered the library, someone from the outside world.

(Impossible. This library should be inaccessible to anyone outside, people shouldn't be able to barge in here.)

She goes to check out this intruder, not knowing how tightly intertwined will her fate be to his.
