Chapter 3 - Marriage

A whole new world is waiting for you just outside the door.

Rachel's POV

His right palm slid to my exposed back, pressing my perky boobs to his hard chest as his mouth moved slowly on my red ones coaxingly. As if everything in me was waiting for this moment, my mind and feminity worked together, and in seconds, I gave in to the kiss.

I noticed him smile against my lips as if that was the signal he was waiting for. His mouth pressed hard on mine as he deepened the kiss. I shivered as his teeth grazed my lower lip and sucked on it.

His hand on my back moved upward to my neck to grab my ponytail, angling my face and causing my body to arch as I let out a gasp at the action.

That granted his tongue to dance with mine, inciting me to produce a moan as his left hand found my ass and gave it a squeeze, his palm wide enough to grab a whole cheek in one hand as if they were meant for him.

"Fuck," he uttered as he kissed the side of my lips, jaw, and neck. "Want to go somewhere and finish this?"

My only response was another moan as his right hand joined his left, both squeezing my ass while my hands were hooked around his neck as his mouth touched the top of my breasts.

^^^^^^^

"Shit," I hissed in irritation as a certain brightness penetrated my closed eyes, interrupting my slumber.

Rolling over to the other side, I felt the soft comforter welcome my weight, nevertheless, the same brightness visited me once more.

"Turn that shit off," I groaned out to no one in particular while I tried to run away from the unmerciful light.

"Shut the hell up bitch," a voice that sounded like Debby's reached me from where I presumed to be my left as a pillow smacked me in the face.

'Hold up, pillow,' I said in my head as I became conscious. Hastily, I placed my palm downwards and grabbed what my brain registered as a bedsheet.

'Wait where am I?' I pondered in panic and sat up, my eyes flashing open. I immediately regretted my actions as the brightness I was grumbling about was the sun high up in the sky as it peered through the glass windows.

"Fuck," I screeched and shut my eyes for some seconds as the room happened to spin. A throb ensued at the back of my skull.

Slowly, I opened them for the second time, allowing my vision to get accustomed to the environment. I cautiously glanced around the room and breathed a sigh of relief as I noticed I was back at the hotel.

However, the relief was snatched away as a big question appeared. "How did I get here?" I asked myself and peered downwards to see I was still in the dress of last night.

"Just one more word and I'll end up smacking you," Debby snarled causing me to fire her a glare.

"I'll end up being the one to smack you if you don't allow me to recall my thoughts in peace!" I growled in return.

She muttered something I didn't care to know under her breath and turned her head away from me. Taking her action as obedience, I inhaled slowly, aiming to remember the previous events of hours prior.

My head in my palms and elbow planted on exposed thighs, I searched my memory. Nonetheless, it all went blank after I recalled some drinks at the bar with---

"Deb's," I called out to my dear friend as my heart rate suddenly picked up. At her unintelligible response, I inquired. "Did you see who brought me last night?"

"Not really," she retorted, her voice groggy. "You weren't the only one wasted."

"Can you recall what the person was wearing? Maybe hair color or something distinct?" I went on to ask, half of me thinking Lorenzo Peters might be a dream.

"Probably some random dude Rach," she conveyed her back in a loose grey T-shirt facing me. "Wait up." She whirled around so fast she could have gotten whiplash. "Did something happen?"

"Not really," I repeated her words from earlier and slid my fingers through my curls. I discerned they were no longer in the band as I had put them. "Just a feeling I had a dance and drinks with Lorenzo Peters."

Debby lay there, her expression changing to one of disbelief as she gawked at me like I had magically grown horns. "I'm going back to sleep."

"I know." I nodded in understanding as she returned to her previous position. "I hardly believe myself either."

The room was once again engulfed in silence and I took the opportunity to again ravage my mind as I leaned my head on the headboard. Luckily an image came to the forefront of my vision though it was a bit vague.

*flashback*

I was hanging on the shoulder of a man in a white shirt, the both of us swaying. We seemed drunk as we wobbled and laughed while tracing our way to my door with me reminding him of the room number.

We made it at some point and I rang the bell in the hopes of Debby being home. Luckily she was, as the door was opened a minute later, accompanied by a groan.

I giggled as I was released and waved at him to which he waved back. The attire he had on was similar to the one Lorenzo Peters wore from my memory but I didn't see the face as the hand waved before the door was shut as Debby dragged me inside.

*end of flashback*

"Uugh," I whined in defeat, running my palm down my face. I hit the back of my head on the headboard despite the headache I knew was forming.

In that moment the sound of a bell rang through the room, causing me to squint my brows in confusion as I wondered if I was hearing things that weren't there.

It came again and it appeared to be from the door. Debby muttered profanities as she kicked her legs in frustration while the ringing continued.

"Well here goes my plan to sleep in today," she uttered and eyed the door.

"Expecting someone?" I implored and she shot me daggers through her irises. "Sorry."

"Room service?" I wondered out loud and fished around for my purse which should hopefully contain my phone. Meanwhile, the doorbell kept going off. Finding it at the foot of the bed beside my heels, I opened it and retrieved my phone.

12:12 pm, the clock on the screen read and I frowned. "It's past breakfast time," I spoke and peered at the door, "who could it be?"

"I'm in no mood to face anyone, so please do the honors," she mumbled in a sweet smile and gestured to the barrier as she sat up in bed.

Scoffing at her sweet girl act, I planted my feet on the carpet and hauled my weight into a standing position. Sliding my toes into brown flip-flops, I made my way to the noise hazard while I spotted Debby get up and move toward the bathroom from my side vision.

I reached the door and slid the casing on the left side upward to reveal the numbers 0-9. Sighing and gliding my left hand through my brunette strands, I typed in the security code.

A beep sound followed, indicating the code was entered correctly. I straightened my posture and grabbed the handle before turning it and pulling the door inward.

The first thing my eyes took note of was 2 pairs of large feet, the second being a face I never thought I'd get to see in my lifetime. Well, that would be the second one I didn't think of seeing if Lorenzo Peters doesn't turn out to be a figment of my imagination.

Xander Rodriguez stood in my eyesight, dyed grey hair rustled, nose as sharp as a needle pointed at me as his handsome face graced my vision. Not knowing what came over me, I hastily banged the door in his face and leaned my back on it.

"Who was that?" Debby asked her blonde hair in a knot atop her head, a toothbrush hanging off the side of her mouth, and a half-filled glass of water in her hand.

I didn't answer as I inhaled deep breaths in a bid to ration my thoughts and calm my fast-beating heart. Debby merely gaped at me with a baffled expression.

'Calm down,' I murmured in my head. 'Just calm down and try opening the door again.'

About a minute passed and I decided it was enough. Summoning all the courage I had, I opened the door. The person I saw didn't change as truly Xander Rodriguez, bestfriend and manager to actor Lorenzo Peters stood outside the door.

I gulped on instinct just as I heard the sound of glass shattering. Whirling backward in fear, my fingers still on the door handle, I spotted Debby with eyes wide, mouth agape, the toothbrush almost falling off and the glass in her hand missing.

She spurred into action the instant I cleared my throat and rushed to find something to clean up the mess. Plastering a small smile on my lips, I channeled my attention back to the two men standing there.

Xander was in a plain black t-shirt and jeans while the other man wore a blue suit and appeared professional. My best guess would be that he was a lawyer. "I'm so sorry about earlier."

"No it's fine," Xander acknowledged and sent me an amused smile. "You were shocked, I understand."

A blush stained my cheeks in embarrassment and I nodded in a sign of appreciation while I sought for something to say. "Umm, anything the matter?"

"Yeah, we came to deliver this," Xander conversed as the other man retrieved a slip of paper from his briefcase and handed it to him which he glanced at for about a moment and gave it to me.

"What is this?" I inquired and accepted it. I flipped the sheet around, not bothering to read the words yet.

"A copy of your marriage certificate," Xander blurted and that made me halt my movements. My eyes slowly dragged away from the paper to his face.

"What?" I choked out as if someone had punched me.

He shrugged nonchalantly, that same smile on his face. "I was a witness to the occasion and he was too. A random nun was also present at the church. Attorney Dan, can you fill her in?"

The dark-haired lawyer adjusted the glasses on his nose before speaking. "The slip of paper states that Miss Rachel Suzy Daniel and Mr. Lorenzo Caden Peters have agreed to a marriage agreement where--"

"Hold up," I cut him off as I stared at the paper while he gave a summary of everything. "Is this a joke?"

Now the main drama begins😁💃🌚🚶
