David
I pull away from Ariana after she wrapped her arms around my neck.
She should get it by now. This is not happening. No matter what she says, no matter what she does.
We should both accept that the night has come to an end. And we should go back to being strangers because I don't even plan on calling her again. And she shouldn't even think of looking for me.
Before I leave, she tells me her last words, "You should talk to Maria. I told you, bottling it up doesn't help at all. You might miss a chance to a beautiful love story just because you didn't speak up. Love at first sight usually has some steps."
I don't know how to respond to that. So, I just nod, bid my goodnight and then I leave.
When I'm home, I change into some comfortable clothes to sleep on.
My mind can't stop thinking about the fact that Maria and Cole could be having so much fun right now. I've been trying to sleep for the past one hour but to no avail.
