"Are you okay?" Aizen asks gently.
Serlina stood firmly and fixed her gown.
"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you but I don't need your help. Excuse me."
Serlina is about to go to the noble to talk to them but Aizen stops her by holding her hand.
"Let's talk, for a while."
"What's there to talk about?"
"Just follow me," Aizen said.
"Let go of my hand first." Serlina coldly said.
They went to the balcony alone while people were looking at them.
"I'll give you a chance to speak but if it's nonsense, I'll go back inside," Serlina said while crossing her arms and staring at him seriously.
"I saw that you're with Seth."
"So? Is it any of your business?"
"No, but you should refrain from interacting with him. He's dangerous."
"And How about you? Do you think I can trust you? After all you've done to me?".
"I can't tell to you completely, but you'll see it in yourself soon. It's up to you to believe what I say, but I already warned you."
"Thanks but no thanks, I can handle myself. You should worry about the person that's important to you the most, Abigail. I'll excuse myself because I have a business to handle."
While Aizen is stunned by what she said, Serlina is about to walk away but Aizen stops her by holding her arm.
"What do you mean Abigail?"
"Isn't it you who much prefer her more than me?"
"No, that's no--"
Seth Weston appeared,
"Can you let go of Lady Serlina, Aizen?"
"We're not finished talking, leave us alone."
Serlina removes the hand of Aizen in her arm,
"We're done talking, I'll be heading inside."
"Allow me to escort you inside, I apologize that I took a while."
"It's fine, you're right on time."
"May I hold your hand, My lady?"
Serlina looks at Aizen first and she accepts Seth's offer to take her hand.
When they both leave for the Banquet, Aizen can't do anything but to only feel upset while clenching his fist, he walks angrily towards Abigail.
"Lord Aizen, are you looking for me?" Abigail asks with a cheerful face.
"You, I told you to don't bother her anymore."
Abigail starts to get scared because of the Aura that Aizen is showing.
"Sh-She started it first, She's annoying to look at. Listen to m-"
She's about to hold Aizen's hand but he dodges.
"I'll terminate all of the business proposals that your family offered to me. If you don't stop, I'll cut all your connections until your Family's Business falls. So don't test me."
After saying that Aizen left right away, leaving Abigail to tremble in fear.
Her pears are concerned after hearing their conversation.
"Are you okay Abigail?"
Abigail brushed it off and came to her senses.
She smiley replies to her peers that,
"I'm fine, Lord Aizen is not in a good mood today but I'm sure he'll come to me soon and say he didn't mean what he just said."
"Of course, we know that. He likes you very much, those flowers he gave for you represent how much he means to you."
Aizen didn't give Abigail the bouquet, she bought it herself and told people that Aizen gave it to her.
Everyone is looking at them, curious as to why they're together but they don't dare to question it because of Seth, who's known as the Dark Knight, merciless when killing the enemy and his targets but Serlina is clueless.
"I'm surprised to see you here, Sir Seth."
"I should be the one who's saying that, but I believe in destiny. I know we're going to see each other again."
"You saved me once again, thank you so much"
"It's nothing, as long as it's you My Lady" Seth smiles directly to Serlina.
'Why every male that I'm acquainted with, is handsome? Is this a blessing or a curse?'
"If you have a prior engagement, you may leave me here. I'm fine being alone since I have to talk to the nobles about my family's business."
"I'm free tonight and besides I can help you with that since I know every businessman here."
"Really? Then, I'll gladly accept your help."
'I know I should be shameless, but I desperately need help since I don't know anyone here at the banquet.'
Seth points out the nobles that Serlina should talk to and he also explains their business and traits.
They went to the first noble that Seth recommended.
"Good evening, Count James Earl Bruce."
The Count flinches as he notices Seth greet him.
"Ohh.. It's you Sir Seth and this must be Lady Serlina."
"Yes, I'm Serlina Casidy sister of Count Connor Enn Casidy."
"What a lovely evening, My lady. You stand out in this Banquet, when you arrived everyone was looking at you."
"Thank you for the compliment, but I'm here to discuss the upgraded quality of our furniture and I hear that you're planning to build a new store. I would like to allow you to be the first one among the nobles who were handling a business, to see our new designs and we will give you irresistible prices."
"How did you know that I'm building a new store?"
"Sir Seth told me about it an--"
"Thank you for sharing it with me but I hear from the other Nobles that your furniture's design and quality are getting poorer."
"We've already resolved it by removing the cause of it and I assure you that if there's any problem with our new furniture you can tell me directly and I'm willing to give you back your money."
Count James is surprised by what Serlina's said.
"Aren't your family's business gonna get bankrupt if you're going to give back my money?"
"It's not gonna happen, My Lord, since I'm confident that you'll like it for sure."
Serlina succeeds in convincing Count James to hear about the opportunity and he would like to hear more of it by inviting her to their mansion.
As the evening progressed, many of the nobles became interested in what Serlina offered to them. She's delighted to hear that they are taking an interest because it will impact their sales greatly.
Meanwhile, her brother Connor is watching her from afar and thinking about how to separate Serlina from Seth.
"That person is getting on my nerves," Connor said while drinking alcohol.
Seth suggested that Serlina should rest first.
"Sit down, you've been standing for hours now."
Serlina sat down since her heels were killing her.
'It's like these shoes are torturing my feet but I have to endure it'
"Thank you for escorting me, I'm also sorry for interrupting your evening, Sir Seth."
"You're welcome, Lady Serlina. Honestly, I would like to excuse myself early but I'm glad I didn't since I enjoy being your accompany. You may call me Seth anyway, no need for formalities."
"Sure, then I'll call you Seth from now on. You may call me Serlina as well."
"Okay, Serlina. I'll get you drinks since for sure your throat is already dry by talking to nobles."
"N-no, I'll get it myself-"
Serlina said but Seth already left to get them drinks.
Meanwhile, Abigail went to Connor to disparage Serlina by saying she was flirting with Seth the whole evening.
"How can you just watch her acting like that in front of the Nobles? Isn't she embarrassing your family? I mean, Everyone thinks that she is, I'm just concerned that's why I'm telling this to you." After Abigail said that she couldn't hide the smile on her face when she saw how mad Connor was as he stood up and walked up straight to Serlina.
Connor took Serlina by her hands and said,
"We're going home now, you had enough!"
"Brother, wait I still--"
Connor looks at Serlina in the eyes madly and a sudden flashback commences.
Serlina is on the floor crying and begging for Connor.
"Brother, please. Don't lock me up again in this mansion. He's just a friend to me, nothing is going on between us."
"So are you telling me that my eyes are deceiving me?"
"No, but I'm telling the tr--"
"I let you go away for a few days and you're paying me back with this? I'm not gonna let you out again until you learn your lesson."
While Serlina is trembling in fear, Connor gets close to her and he puts aside the hair that covers her face to intimidate her, whispering.
"Don't worry, Sister. I'm not gonna hurt you."
Hearing the eerie voice, Serlina can't help but tears fall from her eyes.
He calls the butler.
"Bring her maid to me, I'm just gonna talk to her in the dungeon. You may join us, Sister. You need to see this."
By hearing the word, dungeon, she already knows that nothing good will happen down there and she starts to beg more to her brother.
"No, Sophia, didn't do anything. Don't call her please."
"Why? I'm not gonna do anything to her. We just need to talk, No harm will happen to her if I'm just gonna use my tongue to speak."
They went to the Dungeon, maids escorted Serlina while Connor's men dragged Sophia, she's pleading for her life because she didn't do anything but to only tend to Serlina's needs, Sophia's shoes fell as she tried to resist.
