"Actually, I don't like this way of greeting," she said softly. "In my homeland, hands are a very important tool for attack. Once people get close and make physical contact, there's a chance for others to grab the opportunity to strike a deadly blow."
"Your homeland? May I ask where that is?" Li Chengyi inquired.
"A small country called Libiru, it's quite chaotic and backward," Marian pulled out a chair, gracefully sat down and crossed her legs slightly.
"There is rampant gang violence, drugs, smuggling, and arms dealing. You name a crime, and it's there."
"Must have been tough to struggle out of such a place?" Li Chengyi asked.
