"Here's some water," Li Chengyi offered some purified water just in time.
"Thank you!" The woman took it, tilted her head to drink a couple of sips, checked the amount, then capped it and returned it to Li Chengyi.
"Do you know what that thing was just now? If I hadn't pulled you, you would've definitely been a goner!" she said earnestly.
Her strength seemed to be coming back by then.
Li Chengyi could see the serious malnutrition on her face, a pale yellow color.
Her skin was dry with cracks, and her lips were peeling and tinged with a hint of dark purple. Her eyes were full of blood vessels. One ear appeared to have been bitten off by something, only a small remainder left on the side of her face. Her hair was a mess, coated with all sorts of mud-like gray substances.
It was apparent that she had been through a lot before this.
"What was that thing?" Li Chengyi snapped back to reality and asked.
