Chapter 5 - Chapter-5 Damned if you do, Damned if you don’t

Next Day

Sitting in her hostel room, Samantha was deeply engrossed in watching birds chirping outside. She felt guilty for what she was doing with Alvin. He was a pure soul who showered her with love. But here she was, just playing with his emotions.

This was not her choice, and she never agreed to do something like that to anyone in her dreams if it were not her mother. She met with Derek Six months ago in the hospital, where she came with her mother for the treatment. The doctors diagnosed her mother with cancer, and the treatment cost a lot. She was a mere bar dancer in the nightclub and couldn't earn her fortune.

Flashback~~~~

"I will pay all the medical bills if you agree to only one condition." Derek stared at her from top to bottom.

"What condition?" Samantha asked in bewilderment.

"You have to trap someone in your love to ruin," Derek exclaimed with a wicked grin.

"What?!!" She was shocked.

Standing out of her mother's ward, she could barely hold that blow.

"Are you serious? I am a bar dancer, not a prostitute, to do all such things." She shrieked,

"Oh really? I don't think you have any difference between prostitutes. Just take a step, and you will be the same as them. Think about it. You will get the best medical treatment for your mother. Can't you do this for her? I will get many like you to do the same thing, but I want you to do this especially." Derek pressed her emotional tolerance more.

"You know what? You are disgusting." She was futile.

"Huh, here is my card. Think about it again and call me. The offer will always be open for you." Derek winked and walked out of there after handing over the card to her.

She looked at the card in her hand and then at her mother. Her mind was bloating with lots of uncertain thoughts. Is it rational to ruin someone's life to save another person?

She looked at her mother and squeezed the card in her hand. She left the corridor to search for Derek, but he had already left.

Flashback ends~~~

Engrossed in her thoughts, Samantha, modelled on the bed near the window in her room, wore cream-coloured spaghetti and shorts and looked at the chirping birds outside.

She often wished her life could be like that of those birds. They have the entire sky to dive in, and she wishes she wouldn't be burdened with responsibilities.

Alvin was angry with her for not picking up the calls she had made since morning.

Her anxiety was killing her minute by minute.

After a deep sigh, she looked at her phone again, biting her nails between her lips.

Suddenly, her eyes fell on a man standing out of the boundary wall aimlessly and watching the building for no reason. It reminded her of the mysterious man from last night. She frowned a little and started to connect all the places where she had found the stalker. But she was still clueless about the identity of that man.

"Who is this man standing there?" she thought inwardly.

From the hostel to the restaurant and restaurant to the secluded place again this morning, she felt hostage.

But first, she decided to persuade Alvin and wanted his anger to cool down. She called him again, but he didn't pick up this time, so she sent him a voice message.

"Hi Baby, I know you are there and listening to me, but just because of last night's mess up, you are not picking up the phone call. I know you are angry with me, as I have ruined your mood. But I want to ask you a question. Do You want only sex from me? Is that what you all want? I have seen someone, so I will tell you what's wrong with that. I haven't told you to stop. Ok, then, whenever your mood changes, call me. Bye, have a good day." She softly kissed the last of her messages before cutting the call.

******

At the office of Skalité Enterprises

Alvin had been busy with long day meetings since morning. He didn't even have time to pick up any calls. His mobile was with his secretary Pamella so she could look at the rings in case of any. But later chose to ignore them.

He had just got free from his meeting and reached his cabin.

"Ahh, Pamella, you can place my mobile here now. I will handle the call from now on. I appreciate your help, by the way." He said casually, adjusting himself in the swivel chair and putting some stuff in his drawer under the table.

She looked nervous but masked it quickly and did as she was told but with a sexy smile.

"Let me know if you require something. Have a good day." Her body swayed slightly, but Alvin was too busy in his file to look over.

"Hmm,"

She turned towards the door when she found nothing to say or hear.

"Kindly close the door and allow anyone to do so only if I permit." He was still digging in the file, not glancing at her retiring figure.

After a while, when he felt aching muscles, he slumped in the chair and closed his eyes. The events from last night started to flow in front of her. He shot open his eyes when he realised that he hadn't talked to Sam since morning.

He snatched the phone from the table and needed clarification with the voicemail on his phone. He pressed the button.

'BEEP"

*****

It's a message from the Nightclub Manager where she works: "Hotel Ibis London Wembley, Room No 1109, 10:00 PM." Samantha saw the message, threw the phone on a couch, put her head on the cushion, and started sobbing, buried in it.

It was the darkest secret of her life, and she didn't want to reveal it to anyone, not least Alvin.

Yes, it all started with a deal, but his gentle and caring nature soon captured her heart. She did not want to continue with this.

She sat on the bed and wiped her tears. Her puffy eyes could tell the stories of her struggle.

"I will finish this game today. I can't harm Alvin's feelings anymore." With determination, she spoke to herself.

In the evening, she got ready to reach the given address. She wore a Silver go-mesh top with a sparkling Mini Skirt, a faux fur coat, and black patent thigh-high stiletto boots. Her black hair was open. Her makeup was dark, and she looked like a sex doll overall.

She looked at her appearance and hated the one in front of her.

The Nightclub manager once offered her this job because she was in dire need of money to pay the hospital bills for her mother's illness. But now her earnings were quite good while working as a dancer. He still forced her to lie down with random customers, as her demand was high.

The ringing phone brought her back from her trail of thoughts.

"Hello"

"Ma'am, your cab is waiting at your hostel gate." The driver informed her.

She nodded and cut the call without saying anything.

She grabbed the room keys and handbag, locked the room, and went to the building. She spotted a yellow cab waiting a little farther from the main gate.

She hopped in the cab and put her phone on silently. The driver ignited the engine, and the wheels turned towards the destination.

Meanwhile, Alvin checked the voicemail, and his anger completely disappeared, and a cute smile spread across his face. Her voice in the message made him desperate to call her right now. He was about to call her, but when he entered the logging details, he frowned that there were so many missed calls from Samantha, but he didn't get any information about them.

He picked up his intercom and called Pamela.

"Yes, please come in."

He cut the call immediately without hearing what the other person wanted to say.

Pamela was excited to learn that her bass still wanted her to accompany him after working together for the entire day.

After a while, there was a knock on the door. An unknown person opened the door. She frowned a little. Derek always called her here. Then why this man?

She felt uneasy because his eyes were roaming her from tip to toe.

"Derek called me. Where is he?"

The man stepped aside and opened the door fully to let her in. When she entered the room, it was an oversized suite with a separate dining area and living room. She stopped in the living room, and the man who opened the door gave her a creepy smile.

"Oh, Sam, you arrived." He tried to hug her, but she moved a speed back.

"Yes, I am here. What's the matter? Why did you message me late at night?" She was still not comfortable here. Being alone with two beast males, she wanted to leave there as soon as possible.

"I want you to meet with someone." Excited, he said.

"Hello Miss Samantha, I am Martine." He chimed in.

He was the same man who opened the door for her.
