"I will have to call my mom, but will your mom let me?" Jen had a worried look on her face. I knew what she was thinking. I just beat up ten people. She was afraid I would be yelled at by my parents for doing so. But the thing is. It takes almost 40 minutes by bus to get home. We were arriving at my house within twenty minutes of leaving the school. It took me five minutes to beat up Amanda and her cronies. So, twenty-five minutes max. This meant that we were way ahead of schedule.
So, even if the school wanted to pin the blame on me, they could not. The back side of the gym had no cameras. The way Jen and I went to the back side of the gym also had no cameras. This meant that we were not actually seen at the scene of the crime except by other people. But because we arrived home within twenty-five minutes of school getting out, it would be impossible to say that we were the ones who beat up so many kids when I was home way before I should have been. This meant I basically left school early, which implied that everyone else was lying.
And I know the teacher that came did not see me, so It was fine since he was still pushing through the crowd of people. I reached out and held Jen's hand and said: "Don't worry, I already got everything covered."
Jen nodded obediently, as usual. She was always so trusting of me that it was very cute. This was also the reason why I would always stand out to defend Jen and, even now, why I would want to save her. Jen was my best friend, and since I have a chance to make sure she is trained ahead of time, I plan to put her through a two-year crash course on everything I know. This way, she will have some ability to protect herself during this time.
This means she will need to skip school with me from now on as well, which should be fine. I mean, I do plan to build a base outside. So we can skip school, go there and begin work. Maybe I can send Jen's parents overseas for work as well. They are both into business, so it should be simple to do… It would not be the first time this would happen. At that time, Jen came to live with me.
I still had a lot of planning to do. A major portion of it would basically be me setting up hacking systems in order to hack the school and overseas accounts, as well as more systems to hack the military depot not far from here. I will need a means to enter the police stations as well.
There were quite a few things I needed to be ready for and so little time, sadly. Two years may seem like a lot of time, but in order to do a lot of things, I will need to build myself some helpers. A few stealth bots with a quantum space so that they can infiltrate the places with weapons storage.
Quantum space was something that was created during the war after the technology was stripped from a few of the scavenger bots. It was basically like the inventory system I have now. But this would be for my little helpers. I built many robots during my past life. Each was unique in its own way. From walking to flying, they could do everything. As long as I dreamed it up, I could build it.
I walked into my house with Jen right behind me to see my mother standing there staring at me. From her posture, I could tell she was mad at me. She had her legs spread out slightly, and her arms crossed in front of her chest. One finger was tapping her elbow, and the look on her face seemed to say, 'You are dead meat'.
"Mom, I am home?" I called out questioningly.
"I can see that you are home. Care to explain why you hospitalized ten people today after running away from the hospital?" My mother's angry expression said it all. She really was mad at me.
"When did I beat someone up? And ten people at that? Seems kind of hard to do, don't you think?" I mean, I was small, cute, and petite! There was no way I could harm a fly.
"Jen, tell me, did she beat ten people up today?" My mother went on the attack. This time, she was aiming at Jen. Jen is a horrible liar!
"Why are you asking her? You said I was the one who beat them up. But mom. What time do I usually come home at? It takes about 40 minutes to get to from the school back to the house by bus due to traffic. What time is it now? What time would I have gotten out of school at? When was this so-called fight? Why am I unscathed after fighting said ten people? If you look at all the facts, it's more like I should be in trouble for skipping self-study than fighting, no?" I laid out all the facts for her. My mother was a scientist, she always followed facts. I could see her expression changing over and over until she finally wrinkled her brow and snorted.
"Alright, let's not talk about that. I will call the school after you come with me. You need to get your eyes checked! You scared me to death this morning. How the hell did you escape the hospital so quickly? Why did you run off like the world was going to end?" I would love to tell her that the world would end in two years, but I doubt she would believe me.
"I can go, but is it necessary? I mean, I feel fine, and my eyes do not bother me or anything."
