While she cancelled the sleep over, her family acted as if they didn't get the memo. They still showed up and spent the night at Scarlet's place. It was a full house, with a mixture of humans and deities who they were used to seeing by now as Scarlet's guests.
They brought the cheer which accompanied everyone all through the night to the following day on christmas. Initially, Scarlet planned to hold a party but that too, she cancelled. She was not exactly in a party mood.
So, Mega hosted a dinner which everyone, including the emperor and empress attended. Everyone, that was, except for Esong and only Scarlet knew why because she received flowers as usual and a long text that should probably have been an email.
