The life angel looked agitated, angry even because this meant Nyx had been on to him this whole time. He looked at Scarlet's stomach and his mind calculated how far along she was. Sooner or later, Nyx would have to re-surface which meant Esong would resurface. It was of no use staying on this dead world anymore.
He had smelled deity shortly after they arrived and he was aware that one of them had cleared out the mutated beasts. He just didn't anticipate that Esong would by chance be part of their plans.
This meant their side was too late and the underworld gods possibly took him. But, if they did then why was Scarlet unaware?
Their was a gap somewhere in their communication and he wondered if it could be exploited to benefit their side.
