Minister Campbell's cheeks twitched. A command from the emperor was a command, no matter how illogical it was. There was no need to smile in this tense moment but he had to do so anyway.
An unnatural smile formed on his lips as they rose up forcefully.
The emperor scowled. More anger filled him for some reason when the minister obeyed his command.
"Don't smile." He commanded.
Minister Campbell's lips immediately thinned out and he looked at the ground.
"Chin up." The emperor commanded.
Without a choice, he raised his chin and faced the most powerful man in the empire.
"I give you one hour Campbell, one hour. Should you fail me then I expect to see your resignation announcement which will be followed by an audit into your wealth that could result in you being moved to the Red star." The emperor waved his hand gesturing for him to exit the palace.
