Lito crouched in front of Bell, her palms emitting a faint glow, scanning over the wounds on Bell's body one by one. Whenever her hand touched Bell's flesh and blood, those wounds were torn apart and transferred to her own body in an instant.
Gradually, the wounds that were deep enough to see the bones on Bell's body all disappeared, leaving only some shallow traces. But she still didn't wake up, obviously because of excessive blood loss. Lito stood up, waved her hand, and a roll of brand new long bandage appeared in her hand.
Lito wrapped these new wounds around, but some of the blood from the wounds still soaked the bandages. Although the wounds were transferred, Bell's pain could not be transferred. Bell was sweating all over, and the sand and dust around her were about to cover her whole body.
Lito took off her red robe and wrapped Bell tightly in it.
Lito crouched on the roof like a leopard, her sharp eyes piercing through the night, staring closely at a group of people in the alley. They looked very ordinary, like hunters or merchants from the village, but they had daggers, short swords and other hidden weapons on their waists.
"I say… didn't General Fith Ticket tell us to go to the market on the west side? Why do we have to take this broken road? Anyway, no one will come out now, why don't we walk on the main street?" A voice complained in the dark.
"Shut up! Follow me!" Another hoarse voice shouted.
Their figures gradually disappeared in the sand and dust, as if they had never existed. They didn't notice the shocking secret on the roof, a corpse and two living people. They also didn't pay attention to the blood under their feet, which was a clue leading to death. The sand and dust were too big, they were like a ruthless coverer, burying all the sins and evidence.
Lito looked back at Bell, who was lying unconscious on the ground, and Keh Crus, who had already stopped breathing. She scratched her head and thought it would be better to deal with them first.
She bent down and gently moved Keh Crus's fur with her fingers, revealing his swollen and stiff face. She suddenly twisted his head with a forceful twist, like twisting a toy doll, and twisted his head off his neck. She heard a slight crackle sound, which was the sound of bones breaking. She held his head in her hand and felt it still had a trace of warmth. Her other hand grabbed the red robe wrapped around Bell and lifted her up like a luggage bag.
She moved between the rooftops and the sand dust like a nimble cheetah. She stood on a high place and saw that the sandstorm not far away was about to swallow up this village. It was like a huge monster, opening its mouth wide, ready to devour everything. She felt a gust of wind and sand blowing over, bringing a hint of chill.
When Lito returned to Ventus's home, the sandstorm had completely covered the south of Adras.
The storm roared and blew Lito's hair like a wild dragon. Lito did not hesitate to hit Ventus's door with her shoulder.
"You… how did you come back?" Ventus saw Lito at a glance and asked in surprise.
He walked quickly towards Lito. "What are these?"
Lito gently put Bell on the sandstone sofa padded with soft leather. Then she took off the red robe from her and put it back on herself.
"Bell?! What happened to her?!" Ventus felt that his previous hunch was correct. His heartbeat sped up and his face turned pale.
"Keh Crus" stood up from the ground and then looked around. He looked at Ventus and then turned his head to look at Lito.
Until he saw Lito, "Keh Crus" widened his eyes and then crouched on the ground with his hands over his head in horror.
Lito made an upward gesture and then "Keh Crus" was forcibly pulled up and kept standing upright.
Lito glanced at Ventus. Ventus immediately realized something and then quickly took Bell to another room.
"Back to the question just now…" Lito said softly.
"I said it! I said it all! Can you let me go! Let me go!" Keh Crus shouted.
"Really?" Lito asked again.
"No…" Keh Crus said word by word with his mouth. His voice was full of endless fear and despair. "General Fith Ticket sent me here… I came to this village to scout and gather information…"
"Why did you come to me?" Lito asked again, her eyes flashing with cold light.
"I just happened to see you when you entered the village… the village. I didn't deliberately look for you…" Keh Crus stuttered, as if sweating out nonexistent sweat. "But General Fith Ticket said that if I found… found a girl wearing a red robe, I must find out her… find out her residence and movements and report them."
Lito shook her head. It seemed that she couldn't get more information out of him. The claw in front of her was just a peripheral role. But General Fith Ticket? Who was he? And the Carlet dungeon before… Although she had expected that there would be dungeon ruins in the nearby Brevmontes Mountains, she didn't expect to get involved with them so soon.
Lito waved her hand and Keh Crus's soul returned to his shattered head. Then she tied Keh Crus's head with a bandage and hung it on her waist. The head covered by the bandage looked like a snow-white volleyball. Lito sat quietly on the sandstone sofa and listened to the wind outside. The sandstorm seemed to be raging over this village.
CrehAnn… Kazan… Carlet… Fith Ticket… and this Keh Crus on her waist… What was their relationship?
…
Bell woke up from her dream and was startled by the clanging sound of ironware.
"Enough! Enough! Stop knocking CrehAnn! I'm awake!" Bell scratched her head helplessly and then put on and tidied up her clothes. She lifted the curtain and left the room on the second floor.
As soon as she walked out of the room, she saw CrehAnn leaning against the wall with a silly smile on his face, standing as if he was very handsome. He was wearing a loose green leather robe today, with a white belt around his waist. On it hung his curved and shiny bow and some quivers. He wore a pair of very beautiful fresh leather shoes on his feet, making a crisp sound every step he took.
He moved his pointed ears that were different from ordinary people and elegant like elves, making people envious. He blinked at Bell with his light green eyes that were crystal clear like jade and made people's hearts beat faster.
He said his pointed ears were because his ancestors were ancient Fae. Who would believe that? That was a dusty history. The Fae had gone extinct before the Great Dungeon Era. Anyway, I don't believe it. Hehe.
"What are you doing here? You said you had something to do yesterday and you wouldn't stay. Why are you back today?" Bell poked CrehAnn's belly with her finger, a little sulky.
CrehAnn hung the two iron hammers in his hand back on the shelf in the corridor. "I missed you!" He said with a clear and clean voice. He hugged Bell in his arms. "Bell… I just suddenly missed you so much. I wanted to see you right away." CrehAnn said some cheesy words and brushed his golden hair.
Bell smiled and was about to respond to him, but she heard something wrong in CrehAnn's tone. His voice changed from sweet to a little scared.
"What's wrong? CrehAnn?" Bell lifted her head and looked at him. She touched his cheek with her hand. She saw some confusion and loss in CrehAnn's eyes.
"It's nothing… But the sandstorm is coming. I'm just worried about you." CrehAnn changed into a smile.
Bell smiled and then pushed CrehAnn away impatiently. "What are you talking about? Have you forgotten what I do?"
"Yes, my darling… Who doesn't know that you are the second daughter of the Ferraris family? The best ironware and equipment in Albapetra and even the White Plain come from you…" CrehAnn teased Bell's delicate little nose as he spoke.
"Okay! Stop it! Actually, I want to ask you for a favor…" CrehAnn said seriously.
Bell had been dating CrehAnn for two years and rarely saw his serious face. So she paid attention and looked into his eyes.
"I want… a short sword. You know… a short sword with high temperature."
…
Bell woke up from the hard and cold stone bed and was startled by the howling wind outside. The sand and stones hit the wall like blades, making a piercing sound. She touched her wounds in horror. Huh? She was shocked to find that her wounds had mysteriously disappeared, leaving only some deep and shallow scars. They made Bell realize that she was almost brutally killed by Keh Crus before was a cruel fact.
She looked up and saw Ventus standing beside her, looking at her with a complex expression.
"What's wrong Ventus?" Bell asked. She then looked around her place. It looked like Ventus's guest room, exactly the same. She relaxed a lot.
"Lito… that is, the old god, the girl in the red robe." Ventus said slowly.
"What's wrong?" Bell asked again.
"She's gone." Ventus said nervously. He lifted the curtain and saw that Lito was nowhere to be seen in the living room.
In ancient times before the disaster struck, Lito's followers, the High Fire sect, launched a shocking massacre to liberate their only god in their hearts. They sacrificed innocent lives around the world day and night, sparing no children or old people. Their goal was to destroy the Silver Tower, the mysterious building that reached the sky. It was the key to seal Lito. There was very little record of the Silver Tower. It was only known that there were three such towers in the world. The Silver Tower was one of them, followed by the Copper Tower and the Gold Tower.
No one knew why Lito was sealed by the Silver Tower. The tower seemed to have its own consciousness. The High Fire followers who were originally scattered gathered all their strength and used some gods as their combat power. They even created their own gods. Of course, almost no one could stop them. Even the strongest of the Pus people, the Fae people and other races.
Soon the followers killed all the creatures that stood in their way and finally destroyed the seal and awakened Lito. When Lito woke up, she directly destroyed the Silver Tower. Then something unexpected happened. The sun disappeared and the world fell into a long night that lasted for hundreds of years. All gods except Lito disappeared. Then came the disaster after hundreds of years and entered the Great Dungeon Era.
It was a long night then and it is an eternal day now. Bell suddenly had a thought. Could it be that today's eternal day is just a long day? Maybe it is possible that the world will return to the lush and prosperous times of ancient times?
Lito slaughtered living beings without restraint in the Long Night Era, as if to take revenge on someone. As long as there was a living thing in front of her, it would be burned to ashes and die painfully. Even her followers were no exception. Until the Sword Singer Alliance rose up in the Long Night Era and destroyed Lito's artifact, the ruby crown, they finally killed Lito.
It seemed that Lito herself had no need to pretend not to remember these things. But based on what she had done before, Ventus was still worried that that was Lito's true nature.
Ventus had received a few old gods. Lito was the third one. It seemed that Lito and some other gods disappeared out of thin air in the Long Night Era and then appeared after the Great Dungeon Era until now. But Lito was recorded as dead and forgotten in ancient books. How could she survive until now?
"CrehAnn…" Bell's voice was low and sad. Her eyes were full of endless longing and worry. Ventus looked at her pale and haggard face and felt a pain in his heart. He blamed himself for letting Bell contact Lito so early. He knew that Bell had deep feelings for CrehAnn. They were lovers and also each other's closest comrades in arms. Now it had been so long and the sandstorm had arrived. Bell didn't know how CrehAnn was doing…
The sword hanging on Bell's waist, that brilliant red gemstone, was flashing faintly at this moment.
…
Lito followed every cover and headed for the alley she had been in before. She was nervous and uneasy in her heart. She didn't know if she could find the mysterious person or if he was still alive. It didn't take long before she reached the alley. The sand dust was even thicker now. The clay pots on the side of the road were also torn apart by the sandstorm.
Lito pulled down her hood and wrapped herself tightly in her red robe. She looked for directions in the dim sandstorm.
What was that? There seemed to be a light not far away. Lito quickly walked to the end of the alley along the wall of the alley.
A golden-haired man with a lamp was exposed in the sand dust. In this space where the visibility was less than 2 cm, there were only Lito and this man wearing a green leather robe stained with blood.
He swayed as if he was not very sane. He held a short sword soaked in blood in his hand. He stared blankly at Lito and then screamed madly. "You can't blame me! You can't blame me! It's not me who did this! It's Kazan! I can only listen to him!" He said and stabbed at Lito like a madman with his dagger.
Lito dodged his attack with a flash and jumped into the sand dust. The madman was lighting up in the sand dust. "Don't run! It will only make things worse!" He shouted.
Lito realized that she was standing in a village shop. There were corpses of villagers lying around in a mess. Most of them were covered by wind and sand and mixed with blood. They had terrible wounds on their bodies. The strange tearing proved the murderer's clumsy killing method. Their eyes were hollow and their mouths were full of blood.
"CrehAnn! You useless trash! How come you haven't finished yet?" A familiar voice sounded. Lito heard that this voice was one of the people who fought with Marcia Claws before. He had a hoarse voice.
"Kazan… no… Lord Kazan! There's… there's another girl! I didn't kill her!" CrehAnn yelled hysterically, his voice trembling.
"I told you! We're not friends now! We're superiors and subordinates! You idiot! Be careful I'll kill you next time!" Kazan scolded angrily. Kazan sighed and said, "Oh well… let's go. General Fith Ticket is calling us. There's a new mission."
"Okay… okay." CrehAnn answered softly.
Just as Lito returned to the sand dust she had been in before, the two men seemed to have disappeared long ago. But their voices still echoed in the violent sand dust. It was pitch black around.
