Months went by in a flash, Sato had completely settled down in hidden cloud.
The mountain peak which used to be empty had become lively, with Sato running around everywhere training himself.
"50"
"51"
"52"
"Huff, 53!"
The four year old Sato was doing pullups on a cliff, his body had become much healthier now.
With the correct nutrition and good rest, Sato had made a full recovery.
"55!"
*Huff*
Sato could no longer move his arms, this was the maximum number of pullups he could do currently.
It was not even close to Might guy or Lee's warm up of a thousand push-ups, pullups and squats, but Sato had already done his best.
"This is what my body's talent is, I am a background character from head to toe, my progress will always be average."
"That's just how this body was built."
Sato gasped without much care, he had long come to terms with his average talent, this was no surprise to him.
The only thing that wasn't average with Sato was his mind, his mentality was his only plus point.
"And I will capitalise the hell out of that!"
Sato said as he grit his teeth and pulled himself back up the cliff one last time.
Managing to climb back onto solid ground before he let himself fall down.
"Huff huff"
Panting hard, Sato laid down on the rocky ground for a break.
His training clothes were drenched in sweat and his wet hair stuck to his face.
"How should I do it? Gain strength."
Sato muttered, most of the techniques he knew that could help came from Konoha.
But he wasn't in Konoha.
That information was of no use to him right now.
"Without eight gates, copying Lee and Guy's style is out of the question."
"That will use up all my time and leave me with nothing to show for it but an above average taijustu ability."
He can't dedicate his entire life to taijustu without eight gates to back it up, he had to consider more if he didn't want be canon fodder.
But there was only so much he could do, without something drastic to seperate him from the rest, he would forever remain weak.
"It's really disgusting, having alien heritage provides far too much help."
"I bet even if I train for a decade, a malnourished untrained Naruto would beat my ass after a few tries."
"Darn Uzumaki, blasted bloodlines."
Sato cursed back and forth for a while before he released frustration.
It's only when one starts to train that they understand the unfairness of this world.
"Huff, alright enough about stuff I can't change, let's see what I can change."
"What do I have on hand now?"
"What are my resources?"
Sato got up from the ground and sat straight, his hands on his chin, thinking about his advantages.
"I have sister Yugito, that's my biggest support."
"She's a Kage level ninja, an S class ninja so to say, she certainly has a lot of ninjutsu."
"Because of her, I can come into contact with things like chakra control and nature transformations before I even graduate."
This automatically puts Sato above 90% of the population and on the same level as clan kids.
Not everyone in Konoha had a bloodline, people like Shikamaru, Ino and Kiba were just regular humans with clan specific techniques.
The so called hiden techniques.
"A hiden technique isn't something I have on hand, but I have plenty of fire ninjutsu."
"I might not compare to noble clan kids, but I am at least comparable to kids from the Sarutobi clan."
Sarutobi clan was the third Hokage's clan, a non noble clan who specialised in fire ninjutsu.
They were a cut below Uchiha clan in fire style.
But that won't be a problem for long now, would it.
Sato thought funnily while shaking his head, his situation wasn't as bad as it initially seemed.
"My status is similar to a clan heir, I am much better than a branch member, sister won't hide any knowledge from me."
"Full support without any hidden information, basically the same treatment as the Konoha 12."
Sato narrowed his eyes, he knew what he should do now.
"The only reason Konoha 12 weren't strong at their age was because they grew up in a time of peace."
"None of them were serious about training in the slightest."
"Just two generations ago kids the age of 3 were fighting on the battlefield."
"13 year olds like them were already veteran ninjas."
If clan kids from the main cast were serious about their training, instead of wasting their time on random shit, they would easily reach a very high level by the age of 13.
Compared to the rest, their starting point was just way too high to not reach such a level.
"But I don't have any such distractions, I can dedicate all my time to training."
"And not just random training, but specialised training from a S class Ninja like sister."
"Even if I consider my average talent, I should be above chunin like Iruka and Muziki by then."
Special Jonin, a step above Chunin, this was what Sato considered as his goal by 13.
Special Jonin is a Ninja who specialises in one thing and that speciality has reached Jonin level.
But everything else in their skillset has yet to reach such a level.
"That should work, my speciality will be in fire style like my sister, unless my innate nature isn't fire."
"Here's hoping my innate nature turns out to be fire."
"I am born in the land of fire after all, so were my parents and their grandparents."
Certainly, that was a very vague way to classify, as land of fire wasn't just an isolated place, there existed every kind of nature release there.
But having a fire affinity was still the most common, especially for civilians like him who didn't get to mix their gene pool in a large scale.
It's like people from the land of water generally have an affinity for water style.
'Now that my recovery is done, I can ask sister to start my ninja training.'
Sato thought while standing up and dusting away the dirt on his body.
Yugito Nii didn't train him yet and gave him time to become healthy first.
Training around the mountain was mostly from his own desire, he wanted to check the limits of this body before starting his ninja training.
Now that most of the checks were done he can officially begin his ninja road.
"But before that it's time to eat, sister hasn't come back from her mission yet."
"I gotta make do with restaurant food."
Sato rubbed his shoulders while walking down the mountain peak.
This was the first time he was going down since the day he entered hidden cloud village.
Now that he was fine physically, it was time to check out the village, and see if he can find any known faces on the way.
