About a half-hour into the journey, Yelena says her goodbyes to the group and returns to Grimeford by flight. Her brother, Micah waits an extra hour in the Captain's cabin after his sister's departure. He returns to the lower deck and demands a sparring match with Hector.
"What? Why Hector?" Arryn asks.
"I'm not talking to you, Asa." Micah says.
"Hey, hey, hey...I agree with the leader here." Hector says. "Why do I have to fight you? You've got beef with him, not me."
"I'm waiting on the deck. you'd better get here in thirty minutes or I'm flying you all to Mormont in Ruffield." Micah demands.
"Hey, what do we have to do with this?" Lyse protests.
"My sister has forgiven you all and has taken it upon herself to bear the burden of the Viscount's poor decisions and your violence. However, I am not so easily pleased." Micah says.
Arryn looks at Hector as Micah walks up onto the deck. "Relax Hector. He challenged you to sparring match, that means no magic."
"But you told us to avoid his sister, who's way stronger than us all combined. How am I to fight the older brother of someone like that?" Hector challenges.
"We have a truce. We can't destroy this ship, even if we get into a fight. He will hold back against you." Arryn calms him. "Come now, what were all those hard days at the Black Mast for?"
"Hey, you don't get to say that! You were one of the best recruits from the start!" Hector says.
"Really. I don't remember that." Arryn says jokingly.
"You need to work on your memory. It was three years ago." Hector says.
"Micah's waiting. None of us here are fit for prison life..." Lyse interrupts.
"Fine. Wish me luck." Hector says.
"I'll wish you a longer lifespan." Arryn jokes again.
"Not helping." Lyse replies.
Hector walks out onto the deck, where Micah is waiting. Micah takes off his coat, leaving his clergy uniform.
"Are you ready?" Micah asks.
"No..." Hector says.
Micah runs towards him and throws a punch which Hector dodges rather easily. Seeing an opportunity, Hector counters with a backfist to the face, which sends Micah back only a few inches from him.
"Is that all you've got?" Micah asks.
"Probably." Hector says.
"Sad." Micah says, and rushes back at him, much quicker than before, and throws a punch, which lands on Hector's right cheek, sending him into the ship's mast, causing the ship to rock in the water.
"Ow!!!" Hector yells out in pain. "Is it too late to cry uncle?"
The ship's crew members and Arryn's group surface on the deck, because of the ship's rocking. Chevalier rushes from his cabin and yells at Micah.
"What about the truce?"
"Rest assured. This will be a quick match." Micah says to the captain and dashes to Hector.
Seeing him coming, Hector braces himself and rushes to him. He throws a punch at Micah, which he sees coming but allows to hit him, thinking it will only do minimal damage. He is wrong.
The punch sends Micah to the hardwood of the deck. Micah is stunned, and immediately gets back up to his feet. Hector seems all fired up now, and Micah is ready to return the punch that defied his expectations.
The two of them trade blows, neither giving room for a serious error. Hector surprisingly seems all in for the bout, considering his earlier responses. The trade-off continues several minutes, before Arryn gets in the middle of the two.
"Right. I assume you aren't planning on spending our entire day doing this, Micah." Arryn says.
He turns away. "Don't need to. Your man was getting tired anyway."
"Right, Right...Like you weren't." Hector retorts.
Micah walks back into the captain's cabin and shuts the door. The captain stares at him, then turns to Hector and Arryn. "Yeah...they aren't all like this, are they?" He asks.
"You've seen his sister." Arryn says. "I believe you know the answer yourself."
Arryn turns to Hector. "Damn, for someone who didn't want to fight, you seemed oddly enthusiastic..."
"What can I say?" Hector starts. "He forced it out of me. Can't say I was proud of it, though."
Arryn puts his arm over Hector's shoulders. "Right. Right. Time for a breather,"
The two walk back into the lower deck.
