Chapter 20 - Chapter 19: Triumph, Turning Tides, and Unveiled Omens

In the aftermath of the Tenkaichi Budokai, the stadium erupted in cheers and applause. Seraphine's victory was a moment of pride for her parents, Lyra and Ryker. As she knelt, exhausted from her hard-fought battle, Lyra descended from the VIP seats, catching her daughter in a loving embrace. Seraphine whispered to her mother, tears of joy glistening in her eyes, expressing her accomplishment and receiving warm words of pride.

Ryker, too, joined them on the arena floor, offering his congratulations to his daughter. Seraphine's victory was a testament to her hard work and dedication to her martial arts training. The announcer echoed her name through the arena, declaring her the new champion of the Tenkaichi Budokai. She was awarded a trophy and a generous prize of 100 million zeni, though the wealth held little significance for her affluent family.

Amid the celebrations, Jaco, the Galactic Patrol officer, descended from the VIP seats and approached Seraphine. He extended a hand in congratulation and then turned his attention to Kai, who was still on the ground, battered and bruised. The medical team rushed to attend to him and recommended Seraphine accompany them to the hospital. However, Jaco intervened, offering her a Senzu Bean instead.

Seraphine consumed the magical bean, and the effects were nothing short of miraculous. Her injuries, bruises, and wounds all vanished, leaving her in perfect health. The astonished crowd wondered why Jaco had used such a valuable item on her. He briefly addressed the audience through the microphone, expressing his enjoyment of the tournament and the need to return to Galactic Patrol HQ for a report.

With the tournament over, Seraphine returned home to celebrate her victory with Lena. They partied throughout the night, playing games, savoring delicious food, and taking a moonlit stroll. As they walked, Lena asked Seraphine about her plans for the future. Seraphine hesitated, unsure of what lay ahead for her.

Meanwhile, Kai awoke in the hospital, his body battered and immobile. His father, Master Takeshi, visited him and shared his disappointment in Kai's performance. Takeshi emphasized that the feud between him and Ryker was not something they should burden themselves with. He had heard that Kai would be joining Seraphine as a trainee at Galactic Patrol HQ, expressing the hope that Kai would grow stronger than the girl he had just fought.

Confused by his father's cryptic words, Kai drifted off to sleep. The scene then shifted to the distant planet Kurayami, where deep within the Temple of Seals, a shadowy figure sat upon the throne. Beside them rested an object resembling the key they sought. The figure muttered about sensing impending catastrophe, not just for the planet but for the entire universe.
