Emma and Bright sat beside King Otto, their hands intertwined, projecting an image of unity and anticipation. The air buzzed with excitement as King Otto began to speak.
"Today, we have wonderful news to share with the kingdom," King Otto announced, his voice echoing through the hall. "It is with great joy that I announce the pregnancy of our future queen, Princess Emma. This is a momentous occasion for our family and for the entire nation."
The crowd erupted in applause, and Bright squeezed Emma's hand reassuringly. Emma smiled, though she could feel the weight of all those eyes on her.
But just as King Otto was about to continue, the sound of commotion near the entrance drew everyone's attention.
A man, disheveled and frantic, pushed his way through the crowd, his voice rising above the murmur of the gathered press.
"Wait! Stop this charade!" he shouted, his voice filled with desperation. "I have something to say!"
