Connie excused herself to continue her work. "Sorry, I can't be with you for now, I need to get back to my duties, but you know I'm here. Just call me, Emma," she said, giving Emma and Nina a quick smile before leaving.
Emma turned to Nina, expecting her to also excuse herself. But Nina, with a playful grin, announced, "Guess what? Bright gave me time off to help you prepare for the wedding. It's in three days!"
Emma's eyes widened in surprise. "What? Bright gave you leave for that?"
"Yup," Nina said, proudly.
Emma laughed. "So, Bright sent you to be my spy and make sure I don't run away again?"
