Nina listened intently, her eyes reflecting empathy. "It must be incredibly difficult to navigate," she acknowledged softly.
Emma nodded, her gaze reflecting a mix of determination and uncertainty.
"Exactly. I want to believe that marrying Bright is the right decision for both of us. He's trying to protect me, yes, and he's making an effort to make me happy. But at the same time, I can't ignore my own feelings and the doubts lingering in my mind. I care for him, but I'm not sure if I want to be with him."
Nina reached out, placing a comforting hand on Emma's arm, a gesture of understanding and support.
Emma managed a small smile, her expression grateful yet conflicted. "You must think I'm strange, don't you?"
"No," Nina replied quickly, surprising Emma with the conviction in her voice. "I understand."
