A whole swat team surrounded the woods, precisely Rodney's house. After Josh confessed everything he knew about the werewolves leaving Diana and the pack out of the story like he was told.
Everything was happening so quickly, one moment Laura was sure the very next day would be the D-Day and the next moment she was ordered to act even before the planned date. Not that she was complaining.
She was just shocked to find her daughter's ex boyfriend at the police station giving a statement as big as that.
"Greenhill police department, please come out with your hands behind your head, if you do not cooperate we'd be forced to use action" The head of the police department announced with a megaphone as they all stayed in position in front of Rodney's house.
The silence was erring.
"Are they seriously asking a werewolf to come out like some normal human being?" Noah grumbles. The pack family sat in their sitting room listening to the action happening in the woods with their hearing abilities, well except Diana.
"What's happening?" She shakes Zayn's thighs as he smiles down at her.
"Something good" He smiles wider making his dimples visible and of course she didn't miss poking it.
"I don't see Rodney cooperating," Jake laughs.
"He knows there isn't any way out-"
"Guys..." Kate whispers slowly stepping down the stairs "Something's wrong with me" She adds lifting her head allowing everyone to see her blue eyes.
Lucas was the first to rush to her, helping her step completely into the sitting room. "What's happening? Why's your eyes-"
"I also feel funny-" She gasps and everyone looks at each other knowing exactly what's happening to Kate.
"-Weaker"
"Kate.." Benjamin calls out softly and she looks at him confused "Something happened that both you and Lucas aren't aware of"
"Benjamin " Olivia whispers his name but he ignores her warning.
Suddenly, gun shots ring throughout the woods making everyone jump back from the noise.
"Fucking Rodney" Zayn mutters under his breath as everyone rushes out of the house.
Bullets were fired into a fully turned Rodney as he grabbed the closest cop tearing a chunk out of his chest before throwing him away violently.
The police men and women screamed in terror firing their weapons around them at the beast and only succeeding to make it growl menacingly.
Laura was shocked to see that the wolf's bane coated bullets some of them had weren't bringing down the creature, making her take cover by running to a hiding spot; behind a tree.
Rodney growled running after two police officers, effortlessly picking them up in the air and slamming the both of them together making them lose consciousness.
"CALL FOR FUCKING BACKUP!" Laura screamed hiding behind a tree occasionally firing her weapon at the beast that was too busy tearing unlucky officers apart.
"Officer down requesting immediate backup at Greenhill east woods!" Officer Steve screamed into his intercom.
"Are you guys crazy? You want us to go help them?" Charlie yelled, staring at Benjamin , Jake and Cole in horror.
"What they do not know is that wolfsbane takes longer to affect an Alpha" Benjamin starts.
"But Jake is not! I'm not! Cole isn't! Noah is not an alpha! None of us are alpha except you and you want us to go there where wolfsbane bullets are thrown everywhere?!" Charlie yells in panic.
"What do you mean none of us are alphas? '' Kate asks, standing behind Charlie.
"Kate is an alpha, did you forget?" Lucas asks, raising an eyebrow and turning to look at Kate who was standing there quietly as everything begins to hit her slowly.
The sudden weakness, and the blue eyes.
"You're not, When you took Lucas' pain after he was shot you went down to being a beta" Zayn explains to Kate gently and everyone is now looking between Kate and Lucas with confusion and pity.
"Why didn't anyone tell us that?!" Lucas scowls.
"It's okay" Kate smiles weakly "As long as I was able to save you nothing else matters" She finishes softly.
"Guys are we doing this or not?" Justin asks, reminding everyone about the main issue at hand.
Benjamin gives a curt nod before facing Olivia "You're not going with us"
"What?-" He cut her off before she could continue.
"You're in no condition to fight Olivia" Benjamin states, placing his hand on her bump.
Olivia nods, biting her lip hard "You better not get hurt.. I mean it!" Benjamin chuckles, nodding at her request.
"Here" Zayn fishes out his keys from his back pocket. "Take my car and drive to kai's house take Olivia with you" He says handing the keys to Diana.
"Zayn -"
"Don't argue with me, please. Leave this place with Olivia to somewhere safe" He whispers, kissing her cheek softly.
"My mum, she's there"
"I won't let anything happen to your mum" Zayn reassures her softly caressing her cheeks.
With a sigh she nods trying hard to hide her tears.
The packs run a little away from the house turning into full werewolf form as their clothes are torn off their bodies. This was the first time Diana was seeing Zayn turned. He had black fur unlike Justin who had brown fur.
The wolves and coyote left their line of vision as they sprinted further into the woods.
Police vehicles pulled up to the scene of carnage in a matter of seconds, more men flooded the place staying in positions.
An officer in the distance fired the sniper straight into Rodney's chest. The wolf fell backwards, hitting the ground harshly and letting out a loud roar in anger as the bullet pierced through his thick chest.
But that didn't last long because he was on his feet once again, charging towards one of the officers, Laura saw her life flash before her eyes.
But before the beast could get to her it was knocked to the side by another figure, Rodney fell backwards and a scream escaped Laura's lips.
Cole took long steps towards the officer with the sniper, snatching it from him and breaking the weapon into two making the officer's mouth hang open in terror.
With Rodney pinned on the ground Zayn ran his claw across his cheeks creating three deep lines from left to right.
He then put his claws into Rodney's mouth gripping his tongue and pulling on the organ in an attempt to tear it out with one hand.
Benjamin made sure to block out every flying bullet from hitting any of the back members as they disarmed the officers one by one by taking their guns away and destroying it.
