Chapter 27 - A HIGH-TIERED SPELL

A bright spark appeared as Martin opened his eyes, he had created a Pseudo-mana core, and he was able to store mana in it. He had also emptied his main core, and filled in with the pure mana that he had found.

The rune had sucked mana for a long time, Martin thought that it would stop until suddenly the same throbbing sound that he had felt from before suddenly appeared, and with time, mana energy stopped moving into the runic lines.

Martin stood up, he looked down and realized that his pants weren't even wet, and the mana pool didn't even look like a drop had been taken from it. It was still as he had met it.

"Now I'd be able to increase my spell tiers." Martin said, as a small spiral wind appeared in the middle of his left hand, he was about to try out the wind blades spell again.

Ace would definitely be waiting for him, not that he cared about the kid, he was just a lot more worried about his food, and he was on the road to being broke.

Martin started to call on the wind elements so they could aid him, he channeled the pure mana through the runic lines on his left hands, and a thick blade began to form in front of him.

The air seemed to focus on a certain point above Martin's palm, as the wind around that area drew together before solidifying into a thick boomerang shapes blade.

Its sharp edges weren't transparent, they were visible as they shone with a light yellow hue.

The power of the blade was felt as it created strong ripples on Martin's clothes, and he wanted to release but he was scared that it could ruin the cave along with its beauty.

There was a loud humming sound coming from the wind blades as Martin held it in his hand, then he had to cut off the mana supply, and the blade dissipated.

Martin smiled, his wind blades had become an advanced tiered spell, and he knew that because of the glow that shone around the blade when it was formed.

Now he only needed to be able to create more of those blades.

Martin stood up, he was satisfied, and he had gotten what he had come for.

He wanted to take some mana from the mana pool, but there was nothing for him to put it in so he had to go empty handed.

Martin walked to the entrance of the cave, and something catches his attention with a bright glint.

He walked closer to the entrance, and he spotted a bright blue mana stone.

Martin picked it up, and he used his mana to scan through it, and he felt a small familiarity causing his eyes to widen.

"What level of purity! A water mana stone!" Martin exclaimed with a smile, and he knew that this was what he needed to take back home with him.

He could use this for his learning his fire spell, and he didn't think he would have to come back here

Ace laid on the kitchen table as he patiently waited for Martin to come up.

It had been almost two days now, and he was starting to think that the boy had met his end.

Even though, the thought pleased him, he knew that if the boy had died, he would finally be able to leave, and use his powers. Yet, there was still a heavy burden on his soul which meant that the boy still wasn't dead.

"What the heck did you do?" Ace heard a yell causing him to rise up, he immediately sat up straight when he heard Martin's voice. The boy had returned, and it looked like he was not happy.

Ace felt like he didn't have to be blamed because he was actually really hungry, and there was obviously nothing else to do.

"I was starving, and you had been gone for a day, and half. What do you expect to eat? The bed?" Ace grumbled, he knew what he had done wasn't good but Martin made it sound like his life had been ruined.

Martin couldn't understand what to say. He was pissed but the knowledge of his spectacular find had suddenly washed away every sort of anger from his heart, and he could only stare blankly at the cereal cartons scattered on the floor.

After counting the number of cartons on the floor, he realized that everything he kept had ben emptied.

He suddenly felt a urge to strangle the child in front of him, but it seemed it would be labeled as child abuse but what if no one knew, and he could just cover up the boy's body with sand in the school garden.

Basically, he could hide the boy's body in his underground passage, let the body decompose, and sell his skeleton away to some hospital or a school of some sort but he was better than that or so he thought.

Ace couldn't help but feel an eerie feeling over his body, and the empty look in Martin's eyes didn't make him feel a bit safe.

Maybe he overdid it with the gluttony but he was starving!

"I have been gone for almost two days?" Martin asked in confusion, he didn't realize that cultivation in such a place made time move faster than normal.

This meant he had surpassed his normal mana cultivation time which had been six to eight hours.

Martin couldn't believe it, the mana present in the cave was enough to cut down the time spent for cultivation.

This was basically the use of most magical items that were put on sale for thousands of gold, he had truly found a goldmine.

He walked closer, picking up the empty cartons littered on the floor, and arranging them into one pile.

Ace looked at Martin with an arched brow, "You smell different."

"I have been under the ground for more than a day. I am supposed to smell more than different."

Martin grumbled as he walks past the baby, and straight into the bathroom. He was still pissed about the disappearance of his food.

Now he would have to cut his meals short so they could last. Cereals were sort of his life-savers but now they were gone.

From the bathroom, he realized that he had missed something.

"How the f**k did you suddenly look like a five-year old?"

Martin poked his head from behind the bathroom curtain as he looked at Ace.

He was right, the boy had mysteriously grown taller. Was it because of his innate powers?

"I don't know either. I was created just two days ago. I don't know much things."

Ace walked over to the pile of cereal cartons that Martin had arranged shaking it to see that it was empty. So, he tossed into a new pile.

Martin felt a vein pop up in his head when he saw what Ace did, he narrowed his eyes as he glared at the kid, before putting his head back into the bathroom.

He took a long, relaxing bath or he wouldn't be able to stop himself from murdering that kid.

Martin sat on his bed, he felt refreshed, he only needed to go to school.

In less than three weeks, the magical examinations were coming up, and Martin couldn't feel more excited.

He knew that a lot of people would wonder where he had been since he had not gone to school for three days but Martin never gave two f**ks about them or what they thought.

He could finally use an high tier spell, he just needed to wow the judges during the examinations, and boom.

Hello Front row seats in class A!

"I'm hungry." Ace looked at Martin with a light frown across his face.

"F**k off!"
