#Chapter Ten
Kitty sped down the hallways as the blue lights flickered above. Much of them were already switched off since it was after school hours, and she had foolishly decided to sleep at the library. Well, it was now closed and she walked smack right into Becky's group the moment she stepped out of the library. Now, they wanted to have some fun.
"Here, Kitty, Kitty!"
She stopped at the end of the hallway and shot glances at either side of the junction. She picked the right side because it was pitch black and she barrelled down the corridor. When she reached the end, she pushed the door open and found herself in another well-lit corridor.
If they could see her, she was in trouble.
She threw her eyes everywhere as panic set in. She swore that she could hear their footsteps behind her. She needed to escape. Right away! As she heard them approaching, her feet shot to action and she went to the nearest door which looked like a janitor's closet that she could find and hastened into the room. She slammed the door shut in front of her and put her ears next to it.
"Where the fuck is that bitch?" Kitty heard Becky say.
"I'm hungry."
"If you keep getting fatter, I won't have a choice but to kick you out of the clique, Sasha."
"I-I'm sorry, Becky."
"Ugh, I don't care about Kitty," Becky said. "Let's go grab some burgers."
Kitty heard them walking away and she heaved a sigh of relief. Everything Becky said truly showed exactly what a piece of shit she was. How did people like Sasha even tolerate her? She used to be a kind girl, but after Becky showed interest in her, she eradicated all signs of her normal personality to become a replica of Becky.
"Can't say I've seen a girl who looks as breakable as you, Kitty."
