Synopsis
All I could think about was the color Orange on her during our first date. Her hair, her nails, and her dress made Orange my favorite color.

Chapter 1 - When She Wears Orange

Knock-Knock

Once in first grade, all the kids were telling jokes to the teacher. Some boy kept the whole class on a joke for about half an hour talking about,

Him: "knock-knock"

Class: "who's there?"

Him: "Orange"

Class: "Orange who"

And the joke kept going back to the first cycle until he finally said, "banana, Orange you glad I didn't say Orange?"

Since then, I have hated the color Orange. It never went with anything. I personally always felt like green and Orange go well together, but then you look like a carrot. Orange and yellow are too bright together, it just isn't giving *depression/Dracula* like this generation. Orange and red remind me of the swirl push pop candies and Velma from Scooby Doo (not a bad thing, just don't want to look like I'm wearing a costume). Orange and Blue, I can make an exception for, given they're on opposite ends of the color wheel. Orange just never felt spectacular around that time.

House Choice

I would always go to a view with my kids, it helped me feel at peace. I even had 2 specific parks I would take my kids to that had a view. I would sometimes drive around the rich houses, and I would ask my kids, "which one's your house? Pick one you want." I remember I asked my kids, "What color house do you want?"

They said, "Orange!"

"Orange? Well, okay." I guess Orange isn't such a bad color for a home.

I started searching for Orange houses on Zillow and other apps, I thought it was my kids' favorite colors at first. My oldest son told me his favorite colors are blue and purple. My youngest son told me his are red and blue. They just want an Orange home. It was one of the only few agreements I've seen them have.

Her

Her smile and eyes are so warm and inviting, like the first time ever seeing a sunrise. It's her mood when she's already mad at you and you put on some song that her friend's vibe to then you top it off with a, "do you want to dance?" to act smart and she tells you to fuck off with her eyeroll. She barely likes me; she won't entertain you like a Playboy magazine. I eat carrots since my eyesight is not too good, she makes me want to see better. She can pull off a Velma, with her intelligence. Hopefully we can solve this situation-ship mystery. Although, her hair wasn't Orange when I met her. When I first saw her with her Orange hair, I was unable to express words. With every new style she puts on, she pulls off. With her Orange dress and my blue jersey, we go well together. She's spectacular.

Sunset

Just as the joke came to an end, so did we. Houses aren't homes, neither are people. As for her hair, I hope it's still flourishing, she's always known how to style it. Just like the sun rises, it must set. I love the color Orange; she made it my new favorite color. She's Orange and I'm blue, we're on opposite ends of life. Oranges are my favorite fruits, so is she. I'm not good at endings, so I hope this isn't it.
