Not long after that, they arrived at a quaint village. It wasn't very large, with only around five hundred inhabitants. The village had an old-world charm to it, with picturesque cottages, cobblestone streets, and friendly locals going about their day.
Just outside the village, there was a stunning sight that caught their attention. A two-story mansion stood with an impressive courtyard that could easily accommodate two football arenas. The mansion itself was an architectural marvel, adorned with intricate designs and large, arched windows that glistened in the sunlight.
Emma, Lisa, and Daniel couldn't help but be amazed by the grandeur of the place. Eva turned to them with a smile. "Welcome"
Emma couldn't help but voice her doubts as she gazed at the magnificent mansion. "Eva, are you sure this place is within our budget? It looks... well, it looks like it might be a bit expensive."
Eva's chuckle held a hint of mischief as she continued, "You see, this place has a bit of a reputation. It's the former holiday mansion of a corrupt official, confiscated by the government. Then the bank tried to sell it, but no one wanted it because of the lack of infrastructure in the surrounding area, so the bank lowered its price. As you mentioned, Emma, you wanted the biggest one you could afford. Well, this entire property, including the mansion and the vast courtyard, comes at a steal for just 500 thousand euros."
Emma's eyes sparkled with excitement at the incredible deal, and she couldn't hide her enthusiasm. "Did you hear that, guys? After we pay for this mansion, we still have 200 thousand euros left!"
The restaurant that Emma had sold before was worth 400 thousand euros, and with their savings, it totaled 700 thousand euros. After her shitty husband passed away, Emma started a small restaurant that gradually grew in success, allowing them to accumulate their current savings.
Daniel couldn't help but smile, relieved that they had some funds left for other expenses. Lisa nodded in agreement, pleased that Emma was satisfied with the choice.
Lisa was practically bouncing in her seat with excitement. "Can we see the inside of the mansion, Eva?" she asked, her eyes shining with anticipation.
Eva chuckled at Lisa's excitement. "Of course, Lisa," she replied with a smile. "I'd be happy to show you all around the mansion."
With that, they headed towards the grand entrance of the mansion, their steps filled with anticipation and curiosity, ready to explore their new home.
As Eva led the family trio inside, they were greeted by a stunning sight. The mansion was not only spacious but also lavishly furnished. The interiors boasted elegant furniture, intricate chandeliers, and beautiful artwork that adorned the walls. The bedrooms were already furnished with comfortable beds and luxurious linens. The kitchen was equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, and the bathrooms featured modern fixtures and jacuzzi tubs. The gym was fully equipped with the latest exercise machines, and the living room had plush sofas and a large flat-screen TV. It seemed as though the previous owner had spared no expense in decorating and furnishing the mansion.
Daniel, Emma, and Lisa exchanged surprised glances.
"As expected of a corrupt official, they really know how to enjoy life," chimed Lisa.
Eva smiled at their astonishment. "It seems you've stumbled upon a real gem," she remarked. "The previous owner left everything behind when the mansion was seized, and it's all been impeccably maintained. You'll find that this place offers the perfect balance between modern luxury and the tranquility of the countryside."
Emma's curiosity got the best of her as she asked, "Eva, are you sure this mansion only costs 500 thousand euros? It seems too good to be true."
Eva nodded, her expression serious. "I can assure you, Emma, it's indeed priced at 500 thousand euros. However, I should mention that the cost of maintaining such a property can be quite expensive, and the bank was eager to sell it off rather than continue shouldering those expenses. That's why it's such a steal for you."
Emma exchanged a glance with Daniel, reassured by his nod of approval. With a determined smile, she extended her hand to Eva. "Then, let's not waste any more time. We'll buy this magnificent mansion."
Eva's face lit up with joy, and she enthusiastically shook Emma's hand and before anyone else could react, she let out an exuberant yell of celebration, startling the family. They all looked at her, perplexed by her sudden outburst.
Eva chuckled at their bewildered expressions. "I'm sorry; I couldn't contain my excitement. If you purchase this mansion, it means I get to play here too!" She couldn't hide her enthusiasm, and the trio couldn't help but chuckle at Eva's cheerful demeanor.
With the deal sealed, the family trio explored the mansion further with Eva as their guide. They admired the picturesque views from the balconies, marveled at the well-maintained gardens, the beautiful blue pool, and strolled through the spacious courtyard.
As the day turned to evening, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, they returned to the car, and head back to the city.
As Emma steered the car toward Eva's house, Eva received a notification on her phone. Her eyes lit up with delight as she read the message. "Great news, everyone!" she exclaimed. "The transaction has been successful. You'll officially become the owners of this splendid mansion."
Emma's face lit up with joy. "That's wonderful to hear, Eva. Thank you so much for all your help."
Eva smiled warmly. "It's been my pleasure, Emma. I'll make sure to send you the house ownership certificate by email tonight."
In this modern age, everything was done online, even the transfer of property ownership. It was a far cry from the days when paperwork and physical signatures were the norm. The digital age had certainly made life more convenient, and the family trio couldn't help but appreciate the ease with which they had secured their new home.
When they arrived at Eva's house, she stepped out of the car and turned to face the family trio. "Well, my dear ones, it's getting late, and I'm sure you're eager to get back home.
Emma expressed her gratitude once more. "Thank you, Eva. We couldn't have done this without you."
Eva waved off the thanks with a smile. "Think nothing of it. It's been a pleasure assisting you." She then bid them farewell and watched as they drove off into the evening, heading back to the city.

As they continued their journey, Daniel couldn't help but think about the next thing to do. "Mom, do we still have time to buy supplies from the supermarket?" he asked, a hint of concern in his voice.
Emma glanced at her watch, her brows furrowing slightly. "We still have some time before the supermarkets close, but we should make it quick."
Lisa, who was sitting next to Daniel, leaned forward with curiosity. "What exactly are we going to buy, brother?"
Daniel thought for a moment, his mind racing with the items they would need. "Let's focus on getting food that can last a while, like canned goods, noodles, and other non-perishables. We don't know when we'll have everything settled, so it's better to be prepared."
As they discussed their shopping list, Lisa's face took on a worried expression. She turned to Daniel and asked, "Brother, is tomorrow going to be an apocalypse, or is a big war going to happen in our country?" Her voice was filled with concern.
Daniel placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder and said, "Lisa, don't worry. Everything will be fine. I'll explain everything tomorrow when we have more time. It'll be easier to understand then." He offered her a comforting smile, hoping to alleviate her anxieties for the time being.
Emma, catching the exchange between Daniel and Lisa, turned to her son with a worried expression. "Daniel, do you think it would okay to take Eva with us if the situation becomes worse?" she asked, concern evident in her voice.
Daniel smiled warmly and nodded. "Of course, Mom. Eva has been like family to us, and I trust her completely. We'll make sure she's safe with us." The idea of bringing Eva along in case of any unforeseen events seemed like a natural choice to him.
Not long after, the family trio arrived at a large supermarket. They wasted no time in seeking out the manager and explained their situation. Emma, with her characteristic determination, decided to buy more than what Daniel had suggested. She approached the manager and placed a sizable order, requesting that the goods be delivered directly to their new mansion.
The manager, impressed by their purchase, agreed and assured them that the delivery would be made promptly. With their provisions secured, they headed back to the car, ready to return to their home.
