More voices kept talking and they got louder and louder.
"What going on now?"
"What is this?"
"This is interesting."
"This is misspelled."
"Now this is different."
Junghwa heard so many voices, too many, too loudly, his head started to hurt, he couldn't contain his pain and started screaming
"AAAHHHH-"
Then I woke up and received a private message.
- Wall Breaker: I was not a wrong choice
- Junghwa: Who are you?
- Junghwa: What was that?
- Wall Breaker: The Truth
The truth? What truth?
- Junghwa: What truth?
- Junghwa: Hey! Respond!
He didn't respond after that.
"Damn it"
I can't believe I chose a Sponsor God, but what kind of Sponsor God was that? I don't remember him in the novel. Could he be one of those Gods? But hold on, where am I?
I notice that we're already outside but is Soonhyeok carrying me. How long has it been? I start moving, so Soonhyeok notices.
"Junghwa? Are you awake?" asked Soonhyeok
"Yeah.."
"Junghwa! Are you okay? You suddenly passed out!" Said Shinhui
Everyone rushed over to me to see if I was okay except for Minjoo who stayed back with a nervous look.
"I'm okay guys, but where are we going?"
I ask
"We were going to your house so we can get some supplies." Said Jinsung
" But you don't know where I live." I said as look around and notice that we're walking near my neighborhood.
" Actually, I live across from your house.." said Shinhui
Her words echo in my head. How did i never notice her? How did i never notice that we were walking in the same direction every day? I look at her with a blank look. The cutest girl in my club lives across from me, The cutest girl in my club lives across from me?!!
" I think you broke him." Said Jina
"I-I-Im sorry Junghwa! I didn't mean it in a weird way!" Said Shinhui
"N-no, I'm sorry! I just never noticed you walking next to me! Oh! And sorry Soonhyeok, you can put me down now! I'm probably really heavy!"
" You are heavy, but I can still carry you, I didn't work out for nothing" said Soonhyeok
Was that a compliment?
"It's okay, I want to be able to run incase we get into trouble on the way there."
"I can just carry you while I run!" Said Soonhyeok
After a bit of debating, he finally put me down and I managed to walk again. Then I remembered about Minjae and since the novel is coming to life, then that must mean that the Minjae from the novel is the Minjae that I know about. But they should've met Minjae by now right?
" Hey, did you guys see if there was any other survivors?" I ask
"Oh yeah! We saw Minjae, so we tried to get him to come with us, but he said that he's never seen us before and that we're probably going to die so he rejected our offer and ran into the train tunnel." Said Jinsung
" Really? So what happened after I passed out?" I asked
" Well, after you passed out, the angel told us that you were alive and then he started the train back up and took us out of the tunnel." Said Shinhui
" Then he told us that the next Game will start in 24 hours, so we should find a place to stay at." Said Jinsung
" After that, we met that Minjae guy and he sliced the door into pieces to let us out and left." Said Jina
"So we decided to go to your house and now we're here!" Said Soonhyeok
" Wow that was some good teamwork on explaining what happened while I was asleep." I say sarcasticly
We eventually arrived at my two story, white, and normal looking house, which I've lived in since I was a kid. We entered the house and for the first time I looked around my house and it just looked empty and dirty too. We sat down to discuss what to do next.
" Alright, since the next Game starts in 22 hours, we should stay here for the next Game, Shinhui, Jina, and Jinsung should go to Shinhui's house and get clothes for the girls and bring food from your house. While we look around the house and decide who's going to stay in which room and put out all the food and drinks." I said
Everyone nods in agreement, and when Shinhui, Jina, and Jinsung left, I turn to Soonhyeok and ask, "Are you ready to see my room?"
"Yes! I'm ready!" Said Soonhyeok
"Alright, just go upstairs to the farthest room to the left, we'll be with you in just a second. There's something we have to talk about first." I say as I look at Minjoo
Soonhyeok leaves upstairs, and I grab Minjoo's hand and pull her to the kitchen.
"Hey! What's your problem?!" Asks Minjoo
"No, What's your problem? What's bothering you so much thar you can't even look at me?" I ask
"Nothing's bothering me! So don't worry about it!" Said Minjoo while looking away.
So I grab her face by the cheeks and force her to look at me, "Really? Nothing is bothering youl?" I said softly
We looked at each other for so long that we end up having a staring contest. Her face goes from serious to nervous to embarrassed, and Minjoo looks away blushing.
" F-fine, I'll tell you." She said
" Alright! So tell me." I say excitingly
"Y-you....took my firs..." mumbled Minjoo
"What? I can't hear you! Can you speak up?" I ask
" I SAID YOU TOOK MY FIRST KISSS!!" Yelled Minjoo
She yelled that so loud that Soonhyeok heard it, " Ah...so that's what's they're talking about. That's pretty awkward." Said Soonhyeok while scratching his cheek.
How does that even happen?!
Minjoo said something completely different to what I thought she was going to say, I thought she was going to apologize for making me faint because she thought she made me pass out. But since it wasn't that, I did the only thing I could do, I got down on both knees and apologized.
"I'M SORRY!! I didn't mean to steal your first kiss! I'm sorry you lost your first kiss to a guy like me! I'll do anything to make it up to you!" I said while bowing
"What's wrong with you?" She asked
"Huh?" I asked
"You messed up, but it wasn't really your fault, you passed out, and you just happened to kiss me when you fell and landed on me." Said Minjoo
I see, so that's how that happened.
"But if you really want to make it up to me..."
" I do!"
" Then, kiss me right this time." Says Minjoo as she leans in for a kiss.
Oh well, I guess I have to do it. So we lean closer and closer until our lips begin to tou-
"Junghwa! Are you listening?" Asks Minjoo
"What?"
What was I imagining? I've never thought of her like that, that was weird.
"I said that if you really want to make it up to me then do one favor for me." Said Minjoo
"What is it?"
"Not right now though, when the time comes you will complete the favor no matter what it is." Said Minjoo
"Okay."
~Meanwhile~
Shinhui, Jina and Jinsung enter Shinhui's house. Shinhui shows Jinsung where the kitchen is and Jinsung goes into the kitchen to look for food while Jina and Shinhui go and gather clothes for them.
"Y'know, Junghwa's house looks familiar" said Jina while opening a cabinet
"Oh...yeah I'm sure you probably saw it on TV 12 years ago. It was really popular because of the incident..." said Shinhui
"The incident? What incident?" Asked Jina
"Oh! I thought you knew...it was a popular case back then." Said Shinhui
"What case?" Asked Jina
"Have you heard of...The Jinhwa Case?"
As soon as Jina heard that name, she remembered about a case where a young boy his mom, then his little brother tried to commit suicide because missed his mom. It was a really popular contriversal case because Jinhwa, the murderer kept saying that someone else did it, but they found his fingerprints on the knife. The reason it was controversial is because it seemed like Jinhwa had no motive for the murder, so some people including his father, think there was someone else, and some people including his little brother think that he did kill her.
"Yeah...I remember that case, but what does that have to do with Junghwa?" Asked Jina
"That happened in Junghwa's house and Junghwa is Jinhwa's little brother..." said Shinhui
~At Junghwa's house~
I go up the stairs with Minjoo, she goes to my room to see what it looks like, but I stop at the top of the stairs and look at the shrine of my mom. I look at her picture and then I look down at my scars on my wrists.
" I'm sorry mom, but don't worry I'm gonna live the way I want from now on."
