Chapter 27 - 27. Discussion

"How could that be?" Jake was stunned. He quickly hugged Betty and vowed, "I love you, there's no way I wouldn't want you."

Betty looked at Jake aggrievedly. "But you're still looking in her direction. Do you want to rekindle the old flame?"

"No! I don't want to…"

With Jake busy coaxing Betty, the other three stayed away slightly.

John snorted and shook his head. "If the situation is not getting better, we wouldn't be able to get out of here at all."

"The biggest problem is food and place to live." Andy shrugged. "You don't think that the food is going to last for more than two weeks, are you? There are not many foods that has been stocked in Betty's apartment."

John nodded.

Normal people would not store so much food in their refrigerator. Even if there was the warning for storm, it was estimated that not many people would be thinking about filling their refrigerator for more than one year ahead.

That was simply too much.

They would think about filling their refrigerator for a week or two.

Once the time passed, they wouldn't have any food to eat and at that time, it would be a real chaos.

"It would have been better if Jake could coax Anna," John murmured in a low voice.

Andy nodded.

At the very least, they wouldn't need to worry about their place getting flooded if they were to stay in the 16th floor. Looking at how fast the water had risen to the third floor, the situation didn't seem to be very good either.

If the rain didn't stop or slowing down, they wouldn't even have enough place to live.

While Jake and his group were discussing and clamoring on their way down, Anna and the others were preparing to install the anti-theft door in the corridor.

After entering the living room and closing the door, Anna entered her space and rummaged at the areas where she kept the various household supplies. There were so many of them that she felt a bit of headache.

Well, the problem of being too rich and had a lot of things was also here.

After some searching, Anna picked two anti-theft door that suited the size of their corridor and brought them out. She looked at these two big metal door and silently tried to pull one.

"So heavy…"

Anna wanted to cry.

Well, it seemed that she overestimated herself. In the space, she could control their position with the help of her thoughts, so it was fairly easy for her to separate her items. But outside, it was impossible.

The two doors were put near the door, leaning on the wall.

Anna sighed and dragged one of them. If she didn't need to carry it and could drag it over, it was still possible. The door still felt heavy, but it was better than nothing.

Opening the door, Anna dragged the big door outside and Lucy stepped forward.

"Geez, you know that you can ask for help if you can't carry it." Lucy sighed and propped the door up with her hands.

Anna smiled but didn't explain.

She couldn't possibly tell them that she couldn't let them in because she didn't want them to discover her space, right? Even if they were her friends, this kind of secret will inevitably test their heart.

Anna trust them.

But she didn't want to take the bet.

Humans heart is the most complicated and Anna didn't want to make her friends have to consider this matter.

Perhaps, she will tell the fact of her space to her husband, but that was for the future.

Now, she will not tell anyone.

"This door's size is correct." Lucy looked at the door up and down as she set it on the corridor. "Mark, help me set this one here first."

"Hmm? Do you want to use this door here or upstairs?" Mark came out while carrying a tool box. On the other hand, Dylan had already come out of his own room while carrying a door.

Dylan looked at the brand on the edge of the door thoughtfully. "Just use mine for this floor. You can use this door for yours."

"Ok, I'll carry it upstairs."

"Do you need help?"

"Don't worry, this much is easy for me." Lucy laughed.

Anna: "…" I can't even lift it!

Dylan chuckled when he saw Anna's expression. "Don't worry, if you have enough training, you will get stronger."

"I don't really need to be that strong. Just enough to make my stamina better." Anna pursed her lips.

"Got it."

Mark ignored these two and silently set up the door in the corridor.
