"Haha, come on Black Kitten, why aren't you saying anything, I didn't know you could get bullied like that," Mai jeered at Aiden with a wide smile on her face.
"Enjoy it while you still can," Aiden said before adding. "Besides, I'm not being bullied, Medusa is our greatest asset in fending in fending off the Syndicate, now that they know I'm deeply entangled with her they'll think before acting."
"Why don't you just send one of your prisoners to negotiate for you," Mai asked with a raised brow.
Hearing her words, Aiden responded. "They hate me, if I let those guys go, the first thing they'd do is propose to have me killed."
Aiden didn't tell Jonathan or Mai that he already had someone negotiating for him at the syndicate, he didn't want to have to explain how he managed to turn one of his assailants against his own organization.
Plus, it could all go to shit anyways, Rose could fuck up, so it was a long shot on Aiden's part.
