By the time Aiden walked out of the basement, it was already 8:00 PM, he looked exhausted as his face was a bit pale. "I'm hungry," he muttered with a sigh.
With Aiden's advancement to the the second gate, his need for normal food had reduced to zero, in return his reliance on soul energy increased by a small leap.
He wasn't as reliant as - if he didn't eat a number of souls he would die, it was more like the more he used the more he had to refill in order to maintain an established circle.
If Aiden used fifty percent of his soul energy at once, he would feel hungry and dizzy, as though he'd lost a large amount of blood.
At the same time if Aiden was down past eighty percent, his world would spin, and his hunger would grow, he also wouldn't be able to use most of his abilities.
