Chapter 75 - Stunts

Turning to Bruce, the white-haired man continued.

"As far as I know the only type of Contractor that doesn't have to pay a price when using their Contracts are Bloodline Contractors, but with such a powerful Contract they are always left with something that could prove even more difficult, and that is the demon's last wish."

Saying this, the white-haired man let out a breath and said, "That is all I have to teach you, my time is up for now so that means it's class dismissed."

Upon hearing what the white hair man said, everyone let out a breath. As the white-haired man packed his stuff.

Felix, Ethan, and Serena got up, curious looks on their faces as they walked toward Aiden and Mai, meanwhile, Lila got up and prepared to walk towards Bruce wanting to show him her paintings.

But just as all this was happening.

"Bam!"

A sound could be heard echoing throughout the room as Bruce sprinted out and in the blink of an eye, he was gone.

Everyone was shocked, everyone except Aiden that is, "so it's like that," he muttered.

"Whoosh!"

A sound could be heard as he sprinted after Bruce and soon he was out of the room in the blink of an eye.

As Bruce and Aiden hurried out of the classroom, the sudden movement caught everyone off guard. Everyone glanced at each other in surprise before scrambling to their feet and following suit, curious about the urgency of their actions.

"Hey, what's going on?" whispered one Ethan to Lila as they trailed behind Bruce and Aiden.

"I have no idea, but it seems important," replied Lila, quickening her pace with everyone else hurriedly moving as well.

Meanwhile, back in the classroom, the white-haired man was very surprised by what he had just witnessed but as soon as he regained his bearings he quickly made a call, reporting the situation to the disciplinary agents.

As the white-haired man did this, Bruce navigated through the corridors with fluid agility, effortlessly weaving between agents and ducking under obstacles.

Aiden mirrored his movements with grace, seamlessly mimicking Bruce's maneuvers as they darted through the building.

Bruce led the way, effortlessly vaulting over low barriers and obstacles in their path. With a powerful push from his legs, he soared through the air with precision, his movements fluid and controlled.

"What are you doing?" Landon's voice suddenly sounded out in his head, but Aiden didn't reply.

Instead, he increased his speed mirroring Bruce's movements with precision. As they weaved through the crowded corridors, Aiden displayed remarkable agility, ducking under protruding beams and sidestepping swiftly to avoid colliding with other Contractor's.

Contractors paused in their tracks, their eyes widening in approval as they witnessed Bruce and Aiden's impressive stunts. Murmurs of awe rippled through the crowd as they watched in amazement.

"Did you see that?" exclaimed one agent, pointing at Bruce as he leaped over a bench with effortless grace.

"Yeah, he's like a ninja or something, I reckon he has a strength contract that focuses on Agility, " replied another, marveling at Bruce's athleticism.

"Then what about that guy," another agent exclaimed nodding at Aiden who ran past.

"I don't know, but let's go check it out," a Contractor said before following the duo.

Meanwhile, Aiden followed closely behind, matching Bruce's every move with precision. His determination was evident in the focused expression on his face as he mirrored Bruce's actions flawlessly.

Turning around Bruce narrowed his eyes at Aiden, his red hair flowing in the wind. Spotting a clear stretch of wall, Bruce suddenly changed tacit and executed a perfect wall run, his feet propelling him upwards as he defied gravity for a fleeting moment. With a swift push, he pushed off the wall and landed smoothly on the other side, barely breaking his stride.

Seeing this Aiden narrowed his eyes as well, to be outdone, he showcased his balance and coordination as he navigated narrow ledges and precarious platforms. With steady focus, he tiptoed along the edge of a raised platform, his arms outstretched for balance as he maintained his poise with unwavering concentration, before landing at the other side.

By now they had arrived at a rest area with Contractors sitting and having meals with their friends.

"Bang!"

Suddenly commotion erupted as a red-haired man ran through the door gaining attention immediately.

Bruce spotted a gap between two desks in the resting area and seized the opportunity to demonstrate his leaping prowess. With a powerful jump, he soared through the air, clearing the gap with inches to spare before landing gracefully on the other side.

"Whoosh!"

A sound could be heard as the Contractors watched a dark-haired slip through the still-closing doors.

Aiden ignoring the shocked gases around him, seamlessly mirrored Bruce's movements, his timing impeccable as he leaped over the tables matching Bruce stride for stride.

Their movements flowed together in perfect harmony, a testament to their unspoken communication and mutual trust, fueled by an unbroken spirit of competition.

As they reached a random room, Bruce finally came to a stop, his chest heaving slightly from the exertion.

Aiden stood opposite him, an amused glint in his eyes as he caught his breath.

Unknowingly Agents crowded around them, buzzing with excitement and curiosity.

"What's the rush, Bruce?" asked Ethan, as he and his team panted slightly as they caught up.

"Yeah, we thought the building was on fire or something," added Lila, glancing around for any signs of danger.

Ignoring everyone around Bruce bent his head slightly.

"Crack!"

A sound could be heard as Bruce's bones stretched. "Nothing like an impromptu training session, don't you think Aiden?" He asked causally.

"Training session?" echoed several agents in unison, exchanging puzzled glances.

Aiden nodded, his expression serious as he responded. "Yeah, thought I'd tag along for the ride, but I'm quite surprised that you could keep up," he explained, shooting Bruce a knowing look.

"What the fuck are you both talking about," said Felix, who was catching his breath, but he was also ignored.

Suddenly the atmosphere changed and everyone could faintly feel a heavy pressure in the air, looking toward Bruce, one would notice a red aura emanating from his being.

At that moment the sound of robotic voice sounded out, "Agent Bruce, you are to disengage the unranked Contractor Aiden, failure to do so will result in a deduction of points, Agent Bruce, you are to--"

Upon hearing the alarm, the other Contractor's were surprised, "he's unranked?"

"Why's he fighting an unranked Contractor when he's an Agent, that's just bullying," another Contractor darted in, and before long most of the Contractors were unsatisfied.

As the alarm sounded out, a Contractor suddenly stepped out of the crowd.

Instead of a business suit normally worn by other Contractors, he wore normal black clothing, luxurious in nature.

With curly black hair, and muscular stature, he stood in front of Aiden in an attempt to aid him, his shoulders raised as he gazed at Bruce with contempt, "You're a level 4 Agent right? Why don't you fight with someone at your rank," he said barely concealing his pride.

Upon hearing this Contractor's tone, a chilling smile appeared on Bruce's lips.

Unknowingly, his muscles rippled beneath their skin, each movement sending shockwaves through the air, as a red aura flowed beneath his skin.

"Whoosh!"

Suddenly, his fists, like anvils, crashed down with the force of a charging bull, aiming to overwhelm his opponent with sheer power, yet, there was a precision to his strikes, a calculated aggression that spoke of years of honing his combat skills.

The unknown Contractor was so startled by the force of this attack that he leaped out of the way rolling on the grand as he regained balance leaving Aiden to fend for himself.

On the other side, Aiden with his slender yet muscular figure moved with the fluidity of a dancer, every step a calculated evasion or a lightning-fast counterattack, displaying his adaptive combat skills to the fullest.

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

Collisions sounded out as Aiden's muscles tensed and flexed with each graceful motion, demonstrating a level of control and finesse that belied his slender frame.

His strikes, though not as heavy as Bruce's, were precise and targeted, finding gaps in his defenses with surgical accuracy.

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

More heavy collisions sounded out creating faint waves in the air as they repeatedly dodged and attacked in a confined space non willing to step back.

"Argh!"

Bruce grunted as he endured the brunt of Aiden's attack, he hadn't managed to land a solid hit on Aiden and due to his big frame he couldn't dodge in such a confined space.

The clash of their styles created a mesmerizing spectacle. Bruce's brute force meeting the slender figure's speed and agility in a symphony of violence and grace. Each exchange was a masterful display of technique, with Bruce's raw power being matched by Aiden's skillful maneuvers.

"Bang!"

"Bam!"

"Bang!"

As the battle raged on, the surroundings bore witness to their superhuman abilities. The ground beneath their feet shattering under the force of their blows, yet neither figure faltered.

Their determination was palpable, driving them to push past their limits in pursuit of victory.

Suddenly both figures jumped back, giving each other some well-deserved space.

While Landon's voice sounded out in Aiden's head, "Total soul energy left is 36%, you burnt quite a lot"

In the end, neither could claim superiority over the other. Both figures stood tall, their chests heaving with exertion, sweat mingling with the dirt and blood on their skin. And as they regarded each other with mutual respect.

Aiden's attire remained untouched, but his arms were scratched and the bones on his fists were slightly dislocated, his hair was also slightly messy, but compared to Bruce who had his shirt torn, and multiple bruises on his ribs, he was doing good.

The injuries mentioned on Aiden had long since healed, thanks to the help of his soul energy, but unfortunately, Bruce didn't possess that ability.

The Contractors around held their breaths at their display of strength, meanwhile, the unknown Contractor who had offered to help Aiden paled as he thanked his stars that he didn't get involved.

But not all Contractors were surprised though, a select few seemed uninterested, bored, and some even unimpressed.

Seeing how the wounds on Aiden's body healed, Bruce narrowed his eyes releasing an intimidating aura.

"Crack!"

Aiden also bent his neck, stretching his bones as he narrowed his eyes as well, suddenly.

"Hahahahah!"

The both of them burst into a pang of hearty laughter, walking towards each other as they swing their palms.

"Bam!"

A firm handshake was exchanged as Bruce said, "It's good to have you back bro, I knew you wouldn't die."

"Why would I," Aiden replied before darting in, "I told you, when we become Contractors I'll kick your ass, I had to fulfill that promise."

"But it's a tie," Bruce replied.

Prompting Aiden to shake his head, "your more injured than I am, which means I win."

Scoffing at Aiden's comment, Bruce went on to explain, "I didn't use my full strength, I was too restricted, plus I had other cards to play."

"Same with me," Aiden argued, prompting the both of them to keep bantering over who was the winner.

There was no pointless agreement over where Aiden had been, or thanks for what Bruce had done, just a fight to see who was stronger after everything.

Aiden was genuinely happy, he remembered the times were the both of them would sit and wish that they were Contractors, fantasizing over what kind of powers they would have and arguing over who was stronger.

Now that argument was a reality.

The other Contractors surprised at how quickly the atmosphere changed looked at one another, dispersing as they chatted with one another.

Meanwhile, Mai, and the rest observed from a distance, and when they saw that the fight was over they rushed towards the duo.

But just as they were about to move, a heavy voice sounded out, "Nobody moves."

Looking towards the source of this voice, one would notice a burly brown-haired man in a full set of pitch-black advanced body armor.

Upon seeing this person everyone turned silent as they stood in place, Bruce on the other hand narrowed his eyes as he muttered, "Someone from the disciplinary committee."
