Seraphyne's spirits remained high late in the evening after her productive day.
'It feels great to have support.'
She had thoroughly inspected the various shops after the call and was pleased with the progress she was making.
'If I were still on Earth, my family would prepare a big meal for me. My mom will accompany me when choosing a store, and my dad will drive the car for us.'
'My eldest brother will pay for the shop's first rent, and my second brother will arrange the personnel I need. The third brother will take care of the security, and our youngest sister will be in charge of the decorations.'
She sighed, 'I miss them so much! I hope they're living well. Especially the youngest sister. I hope she won't get scared sleeping alone with the lights out.'
'I'm no longer there to accompany her.'
However, her contentment was short-lived when she spotted a group of warriors rushing towards the East border. 'Are young people training so late now?'
'That's odd! Dinner was served three hours ago, and only the patrol teams should be running around the borders.'
It was clear from their weary expressions that something was amiss.
'Their faces are hard to describe. Could the patrol team encounter problems while on duty?'
Kenshy, the Gamma, and his mate Alyza were approaching her, both of whom were panting from their run. Kenshy and Alyza were communicating through a mind link.
"Should we tell the Luna that the warriors needed backup?" Kenshy asked his mate.
"Aren't we supposed to report to Kieiran before taking action? The Luna is new to the pack, and the Alpha hasn't told us anything about the Luna's strength. We might get in trouble!" Alyza answered back.
"But we need a workforce, and the Luna holds the highest responsibility now that the Alpha is not here! She must also have the necessary strength to conquer the Alpha!"
"Let's try your plan..."
Despite their fatigue, they greeted her respectfully, "Luna!"
Seraphyne could immediately sense the gravity of the situation.
'Their faces don't look right!'
Her instincts told her that danger was lurking at the East border. With Zephyir and the Beta away, the defense of the pack rested heavily on the Gammas.
"Tell me what's happening," she demanded, her tone urgent and concerned.
Kenshy explained, "Rogues have been spotted at the East border. They've injured three of our warriors. Luna, we need all the help we can get."
"The patrol team of the East, headed by Liam and Cassandra, was facing a defeating battle. We weren't expecting the rogues to be stronger than us, and it's hard for us to take them down."
Seraphyne's brows furrowed as she assessed the severity of the situation. "What's their rank? Based on observing the current fight, can you guess how strong they are?"
"Luna, all of them are above level five," Alyza replied grimly.
Seraphyne thought to herself, "I need to go in person and see what I can do."
She nodded, her mind racing to come up with a plan. But then, she smelled the scent of heavy bleeding on the gammas in front of her.
"You're injured too, both of you. The housekeepers are occupied with other matters, and we can't burden them right now. Can you still take me to the East border?"
Kenshy and Alyza exchanged hesitant glances and talked within the pack's link. "Can we really let the Luna fight?"
"We have no choice! Time is running out! We must hurry back to the East border!"
They were unsure about involving the new Luna in such a dangerous situation. Other warriors standing not far from them were also hesitant.
What if she ended up as a liability?
Would they face the Alpha's wrath for exposing her to danger?
But time was of the essence, and they couldn't afford to waste it.
Before they could respond, Seraphyne had vanished from their side.
Her sudden disappearance left them stunned for a moment before Alyza snapped them back to reality. "Was that the Luna? Hurry, let's follow!"
They quickly transformed into their wolf forms and raced after Seraphyne. Along the way, they encountered Kieiran and relayed the urgent news through their pack's unique mind link.
"Damn it!" Kieiran cursed as he also shifted into his wolf form. He feared the potential consequences of the Luna venturing into the battlefield unprepared.
"How many rogues did they spot?" Kieiran questioned, his voice tense.
"Fifteen, all above level five!" a warrior from the team reported.
Kieiran clenched his teeth in frustration. "What rotten luck! Why did she rush in?"
As they sprinted towards the East border, Kieiran issued a command through the pack's mind link, "Protect the Luna at all costs!"
"Yes, Alpha!" the response echoed in their minds.
With his father temporarily absent, Kieiran had assumed leadership of the pack as the next Alpha in line. The responsibility now fell on his shoulders to ensure the safety of his pack members, including the new Luna.
However, neither he nor anyone else could comprehend why Seraphyne had suddenly vanished from the pack's residence and reappeared at the heart of a potential battle. Her motives remained a mystery.
As Seraphyne arrived at the East border, her heart raced with a mixture of determination and unease. The sight that greeted her was distressing.
Five of her pack's members were severely injured, yet miraculously, none of them had lost their lives. On the opposing side, she observed all fifteen rogues standing tall, uninjured.
The tension in the air was too suffocating, and as Seraphyne assessed the situation, she felt an overwhelming surge of energy.
It was as if her body and instincts were guiding her, each move fueled by an innate power she had never experienced before. Visions and insights flooded her mind, her actions guided by an unseen force.
The contrast between the injured pack members and the unscathed rogues was stark. Seraphyne's strength seemed to triple in that crucial moment. Her mind raced, her senses heightened, as she prepared to engage in a battle she had never imagined facing.
When everyone noticed her arrival, she was already ready to move her hand.
"Such strong killing intent!"
"Who is she?"
As Seraphyne confronted the fifteen rogues at the East border, an exhilarating rush of excitement coursed through her. She did not experience fear but rather a heightened state of alertness. Her instincts, honed by her new werewolf abilities, guided her every move.
The battle commenced with a ferocious intensity. The rogues, initially taken aback by Seraphyne's unexpected presence, soon realized they were facing an experienced character in fighting. The Luna, despite her recent arrival, moved with an uncanny grace and confidence that sent shivers down their spines.
Without wasting a second, Seraphyne lunged forward, her movements fluid and precise. She engaged the rogues with a ferocity that took them by surprise. Her combat skills were top-notch, and she wielded them with strength and power that seemed otherworldly. Every strike was calculated, every move strategic.
As she fought, her mind was full of complicated thoughts, and instincts kept advancing. She drew some courage from her weird supernatural power, feeling an inexplicable connection to the power coursing through her veins. It was as if the soul space within her had awakened, granting her abilities beyond her wildest imagination.
Despite the chaos of battle, Seraphyne remained focused on her goal to protect her pack and drive the rogues away.
Her attacks were a dance of precision, each strike aiming to incapacitate rather than to kill. She had no intention of causing unnecessary bloodshed, but she also knew that these rogues needed to be subdued.
Her powers remained hidden from those around her. To anyone watching, it was as if she had honed her skills over years of training. She seamlessly incorporated her supernatural abilities into her fighting style, blending them with her physical prowess. Her movements were fast and fluid, almost like a force of nature.
What the rogues didn't realize was that Seraphyne had tapped into her mysterious soul space. In this brief, frenzied battle, she harnessed powers that had remained hidden from everyone, powers that even she didn't fully comprehend. It was a wellspring of energy that flowed through her, granting her incredible speed, strength, and agility.
Seraphyne targeted the rogues' leadership, taking down their strongest members one by one. Her strategy was effective, causing disarray and desperation among the rogues.
They began to realize that they were outmatched, and surrender started to seem like the only viable option.
"Who is SHE?" someone shouted from the crowd, but no one answered.
Gradually, the battle reached a turning point. Fatigue and frustration set in for the rogues as they failed to gain any advantage over Seraphyne.
The relentless Luna had whittled down their numbers and broken their spirits. In a final, decisive move, Seraphyne took down the rogue leader with a swift, precise strike, leaving the group speechless.
"Who are you?" the rogue leader choked when he asked.
As the dust settled and the rogues submitted to her authority, Seraphyne stood victorious, her aura radiating undeniable coercion. The pack members who had arrived to protect her watched in awe and reverence, their respect for their new Luna growing exponentially.
"Where is the Luna?" Kieiran's voice echoed as he arrived.
"You are the Luna?" the rogues felt some disbelief.
