Slowly, Gray opened his eyes.
It was blurry at first, but steadily, he adapted to the dim light of the room.
He could feel his body rocking back and forth. This was evidence that he was still on the Ship.
However, it was not the cold, damp ground that he had become familiar with for the past two weeks that was beneath him.
Instead, it was soft, and cozy and gave him the impression that he should sink further into it than he should actually wake up.
His thoughts came back to him slowly, and with them, eventually, the memory of Cherry screaming his name at one corner as he rushed for the Orc with all he had for that final attack.
"CHERRY!!!" He shot to his feet in a hurry. However, a chain and buckle about his neck pulled him back to the bed.
He fell hard against it.
The chain and slave collar around his neck were no surprise to him. What really surprised him was the fact that he had landed on something soft.
