Gray, well aware of their unseen escorts, continued forward, his expression calm and confident. He understood that from the moment they set foot in this domain, they had been marked and monitored. The centaurs were a proud and cautious people, especially in these perilous times when supernatural creatures were hunted mercilessly by the Aztec empire for their sacrificial rituals. This made them all the more vigilant, ready to eliminate any perceived danger that trespassed into their territory.
