"Is Captain Marths done yet? I'm anxious too" said one of the two men who had separated from the group.
The other scratched the back of his neck and yawned.
"Who knows, since we lost contact with Lorean and Hersh he's been pretty nervous"
"Hmmm... we saw the explosion, but for some reason it exploded in midair"
The other nodded as he folded his arms.
"Someone must have interfered... but it doesn't matter, let's just follow our new orders"
Both men walked over to a container and one of them pulled a pair of keys out of his pocket, picked one and removed the large padlock from the container.
"Okay, help me with this"
Both men each stood on one side of the container and pulled the doors at the same time.
Once the container doors were completely open, one of the men lifted the torch he was carrying and illuminated the inside of the container.
"Are you sure about this?"
The other man looked at the contents of the container and sighed.
"Who knows, let's just make it quick. I want to sleep"
The other man nodded and entered the container. Suddenly, he heard a light knock behind him and turned to look at his companion.
"All right--?"
The man saw his companion with his eyes wide open and holding his neck full of blood.
As he was about to scream while at the same time reaching for the sword hanging at his waist, his neck was cut and with them his vocal cords.
Without understanding what was happening, the man slowly turned his head and the last thing he saw was a demon next to him, then he fell to the ground and a few seconds later he died.
Nathan shook Adan's fang, ignored both corpses and picked up the torch that had fallen to the ground.
'Let's see what they have...'
Stepping deeper into the container, Nathan froze as soon as he saw its contents.
'Shit...'
Inside, a simple wooden box with dozens of black orbs.
Nathan clicked his tongue behind his mask.
'Really, how much do they plan to destroy?'
All the orbs were just like the bomb Nathan had thrown into the sky when he saved Enarys in the hotel, the only difference being that these orbs didn't have a shred of essence inside and were completely discharged.
This was a relief for Nathan, as he preferred not to be near a bomb with such destructive power.
As he watched the orbs, Nathan again heard a pair of footsteps and stepping out of the container, he hid in the shadows.
"What the fuck are you guys doing?" Another man approached the scene in search of the two Nathan had killed.
As soon as the man saw the corpses, his neck cracked open, and he fell to the ground on his knees bleeding out.
Nathan looked in the direction of the group, ignoring the new corpse at his feet.
'...One down'
Slipping into the shadows again, Nathan waited patiently for his next victim.
His next targets were heading to the back of the warehouse to rest, when they lay down on their beds and closed their eyes, Nathan bid them goodnight along with eternal rest.
After that, the others realized that something strange was going on, but it was too late.
Nathan took advantage of the confusion and nerves of the survivors and finished them off one by one, and when the remaining survivors gathered in a group, Nathan simply confronted them face to face and finished them off.
In the end he had not been wrong in thinking that the strength of the group was not great, they were all of a similar level to the men in the hotel.
When he had finished with them all, Nathan began to search through their bodies, finding more relics and some letters.
Finally, Nathan sighed and relaxed as he thought he was done with everyone, then suddenly frowned as he felt a scent coming from the second floor at the back of the warehouse.
'Was there one left?'
Deciding not to leave any ends, he started walking towards the direction where the essence was coming from, then he came across some stairs leading to a padlocked door.
Nathan frowned when he saw the padlock. It was quite possible that among all the keys he had one could open the door, but it would surely attract the attention of whoever was inside the room if he tried to open it.
It's not like he had to be stealthy.
Just as Nathan was about to kick the door in, he heard a scream from inside the room, which prompted him to act faster.
The door came down thanks to his kick and Nathan entered the room, looking carefully around.
Inside, the room was practically empty, the only problem was that there were about six corpses on the floor at the edge of the room, just outside a large circle that glowed slightly red.
The circle spanned almost the entire floor of the room, and in the center of it was a man whose face and body were covered by a black robe.
The man was holding a body, which seemed to have dried up, as if all of its fluids had been sucked out of it.
Nathan was confused but that didn't stop him from quickly running towards the man in the center of the room to finish him off.
Releasing the lifeless body, the man turned and looked at Nathan, who stopped as soon as their eyes met.
The man smiled at him with his yellow teeth and looked at him quizzically.
"You are not one of my subordinates... Who are you?"
Nathan did not answer the man and just stared at him. Somehow he sensed something strange about the person in front of him.
"Hmmm... judging from the fact that I don't feel any life on the first floor, I guess you killed them"
The man swung his arms from inside his robe and a couple of seconds later Nathan was forced to dodge to the side as he saw two limbs rapidly approaching him.
The man was still standing still in his place, but he followed him with his gaze and his strange smile.
Nathan looked at the man's arms, which were too long for a normal human, and then realized that his arms were snakes, which were also looking at him as they hissed.
