Chapter 7 - Chapter six: The culprit is you

_A fine young man_

As soon as Yuan Zhu entered into the cave the air became thinner, she could feel the heaviness of the air, and the more she walked in the darker it became.

Although looking at the cave one could conclude it was simply a small one, however it felt like being transported to another place the moment she stepped in. Because it was large in there.

It was eerily quiet, only the sound of her walking could be heard, It was darker as well. The lighter was now very low it could went off any minute, Yuan Zhu suddenly thought in her heart as she called "System.."

[What may I assist host with]

"Can you provide anything that could illuminate, or serve as source of light here?"

[Of course, what am I? Host could have asked sooner] it was in a playful and arrogant voice.

[TURNING ON THE FLASHLIGHT....]

Yuan Zhu put the lighter back as the light from the system brightened up every nook and corners of the cave, if she had knew about this... Maybe she could have asked sooner.

The walls, however were made of rocks, cobwebs were hanging askew, Yuan Zhu cringed seeing the skulls of humans at the other side of the room, there absolutely was nothing in the room except for Grimm sight, thus, she proceeded to the other side where existed a path which one could walked through.

Before her were five different doors, inscribed on each different doors were symbols and words she was unable to read.

The choice was hard, therefore she didn't plan making one Yuan Zhu reached out and opened the door in the midst, to be welcomed into yet another engulfing darkness, the atmosphere seemed unaccommodating as rotten smell filled everywhere, the flashlight, of course brighten up the place, bringing to awareness it's ugliness and the nightmares it embrace.

The bodies were headless, the little who has, has been minced into paste, painting the scene an intense bloody and slaughtered like. At this point, the flies which were from god knows were feasting on the bodies.

To the upper side of the room was an high alter, where a stone coffin was carefully placed.

The stone coffin existed to be opened, although precisely for those who dared, stepping on the dark red painted ground, taking a closer look at the coffin, some words were carved into the stone coffin.

Yuan Zhu carefully slide it opened...She couldn't tell what the h*ll was going on, how could it possibly...The body had no trace of scars, it was as if preserved with an unknown chemical which could restore it into it's original state, besides the corpse being rosy and fresh, on its lips was plastered a huge smile, it was like being played for a fool.

Xing Fu body was cremated, how could she ended up here, what of the brutal way she was killed, having limbs tore and eyes pulled out but the body before her bear no mark of such, instead an unblemished skin, barring the cold flesh and not a single breath from it, it looked it was alive.

She pulled the coffin stone lid back and rushed out of the room, right before her again, the five doors, Yuan Zhu went for the first, however it was more like the other room, reeks of rotten meat, Yuan Zhu Does found it odd as she slide opened the stone coffin, it wasn't surprising that it contains Zhang Han's body, looked alot alive but lacked the breath of living.

Yuan Zhu smiled the rest of the three rooms absolutely must have a stone coffin in an alter where body was laid, the two were the twin and the other one definitely must be the woman in the portrait.

For a brief moment, if felt as if she heard a panting sound, Yuan Zhu glanced around but saw nothing belonging to the living.

Outside of the room, a lady who had been clawed over crawled out of the room, She was sobbing quietly, her fingers shaking, her face bearing this pain she never experienced, there were still blood gushing out of the opened flesh, her shaky hands latched tightly unto her mouth, but it wasn't enough to mask her heaving chest.

It was dark, making it hard for her to fathom what was happening around her, the way out, even unable to have a glimpse of the thing clawing her body in such gruesome way.

As if the despairing has a way to forced her to kill herself, she would prefer dying a thousand times to this hellish suffering, suddenly she saw a bright illumination from afar, someone came? She found it hard to believe, after several hours, someone finally showed up.

Yuan Zhu was Now back at the five doors. with utmost certainly, she heard something, it was more like sobbing, she heard it clearly. Suddenly something latched unto Yuan Zhu leg, she almost jumped away with fright, however she solidify her mind, gazing down, it was...

It was a lady who looked she was attacked by wild boar, her overall appearance was messy.

"Please, sav... Save me... I... I It's coming, sav..."

Yuan Zhu was baffled for what do. With complicated expression she asked

"Why are you here? What happened?"

"I...I...I." she stuttered nervously.

Yuan Zhu carefully helped her up, she look mismatched and tired, she must've been here for a while "How long have you been here?" She asked.

She lifted two fingers and blinked, fear flashing through her eyes " Two days"

Yuan Zhu nodded, she was about to sat her down but the lady who shrunk back with fear because of the dagger held by Yuan Zhu tried escaping but Yuan Zhu pulled her back

"Don't be scared, I won't hurt you, it's okay, can you explain your ordeals to me it might help us out of here"

She gulped as tears tricked her face, she swallowed the lump in her throat as she winced slightly "Dao Dao, my little sister whom we've been living together after the disappearance of mom, at night, just as the rules implies, curfew every night, we locked the door and went to sleep, but...but in the morning after waking, the occupied space next to me was empty, I...I looked...I searched around but failed in finding her, Dao Dao was nowhere to be found"

Yuan Zhu urge her on, The lady looked at Yuan Zhu like she was about to revealed a grave secret then she whispered... "He called himself a potter, and a sculptor, he convinced he could helped me find my sister, and here we are, I managed to escape.. it's so scary, very scary... I.."

[Ding. Congratulations, the game the culprit is you, the plot 'The sculptor has been revealed' exploration degree has increased by 10. Total experience point 15]

Yuan Zhu knew she already was on path, she patted her back and said "Can you describe the man?"

She nodded and said "tall, he had pair of long legs, his eyes deep brown, his jaw chiseled and smooth, he was a fine young man but... Trust me he is a... Monster"

The last words came out in a panic. As soon as that word was said, a long ear piercing scratching sounded across the room, with the help of the flashlight, Yuan Zhu visibly saw the illustration engraving on the wall.

The first picture was a little girl sitting down, the next picture was carved, the girl going to sleep, followed by the third, the girl waking up, the fourth revealed her in shock seeing the other adult in the illustration then it ended.

The lady had almost went insane, shivering with sweat running down her face, her shaky voice declared "Let's.. get out of here, it's.. it's... It's writing on the wall, it happened in there, the same sound I heard but couldn't make out what was being engraved because of the darkness"

Yuan Zhu being hinted, she quickly asked "Can you remembered where?"

The lady nodded repeatedly, it looked her head could fall off any minute as her finger pointed to the fifth door.

Yuan started walking towards the fifth door when she halt and said "You can follow me if you're willing, but no matter what happened run as fast away alright?"

Fresh tears dripped her face as she nodded, such a brave young lady, however she still gathered her courage and asked "why are... You here.. too"

Yuan Zhu without turning to face her said "Somethings are better unknown, mhm?"With that being said, Yuan Zhu walked away.

The lady thought no matter how much she weighed this matter, this brave lady with flashlight hovering above her seemed the oddest.

However she followed Yuan Zhu, she wouldn't hurt her? She has a knife while she doesn't even wield a thing! Maybe it would be alot better to be killed by a human than it.

One thing she knows, it doesn't matter how strong the person is, but that thing in the room she just came from was malicious. Being aware death wasn't as far away, nonetheless she followed Yuan Zhu.
