She tightened her grip on the duvet
Her forehead beamed with sweats
She was breathing heavily and uncontrollably.
She was having a dream.
No, it wasn't a nightmare.

Seraphina kept her steps light on the floor as she stepped into the room.
The walls were covered with photos of the marriage of her and her husband. Their happy faces beamed in the photos. She smiled at them softly, then her eyes rested on her baby curled up in the crib with her eyes wide open.
"Hi baby" She called softly, Her face filled with joy.
"Mommy is back home. How are you?" she continued with the sweetest voice as she held her baby, Nyla, in her hand, up in the air.
Nyla giggled happily.
She was just a month old
She had delicate and perfect features with long and dark eyelashes and her cheeks were rosy and soft with her lips in a little pout.
"Oh, you. What took so long? I have to get home to Thomas."
Olivia stated as she stepped into the room.
Seraphina turned her gaze to her mom, a guilty look on her face.
She was not about to tell her mom that she spent half of the day in the salon, getting her hair permed just so she could look beautiful for her husband on his special day.
Her mother seemed to have noticed the sly smile on her face. Olivia gave her daughter a light playful knock on the head.
"ahh Mom" Seraphina giggled
"You spent hours just to get these waves on your head. it doesn't even look good on you" Olivia teased, causing Seraphina's mouth to hang open in disbelief, her face in a little sheepish smile.
"it does look good on me" She rectified
Olivia giggled, as she walked past Seraphina to where her handbag was.
She picked it up and flung it over her shoulder.
"It doesn't baby. I'm sure your husband would prefer you stick with your natural straight hair than these waves. See ya"
"Oh Mom," Seraphina chuckled.
"Have fun with your husband" Olivia blew her a kiss.
"Bye Mom!" Seraphina said with a big smile on her face.
She turned her gaze to her baby curled up in her arms, Nyla was already sleeping.
Seraphina gave her a light peck on the cheek before carefully placing her back in the crib.
"Oh wow," Seraphina let out a barely audible gasp as her eyes rested on the clock.
It was past 3 p.m.
Her husband would soon be back from work. She had to start preparing the little decorations she had in mind.
It was her husband's birthday today.
His favorite cake, Chocolate Lava Cake, was already prepared and awaiting his arrival.
The cake is a decadent dessert with a warm, molten chocolate center.
It took all the self control in Seraphina to avoid slicing and throwing half of the cake into her mouth.
All that was left to do was a little decoration here and there that would definitely have her husband gushing over.
With a smile on her face, she proceeded.

*Thump*
Seraphina jerked up to her feet as she heard the knock on the door.
He's back
It's time.
She rubbed her palms together nervously, her eyes gazing around the decorations she had worked on.
It all looked perfect and simple as they should be.
'phew,'
She let out a soft sigh as she made her way to the door.
Seraphina flung the door open,
"Happy Birthday!" She said aloud as she popped the Confetti party poppers all over her husband.
Sebastian quivered.
'oh this wife of mine'
He giggled as stepped into the house and immediately drew Seraphina in for a warm embrace.
"You did all these?" he asked coolly, his eyes gleaming with affection
Seraphina nodded with a smile.
"I love it. And you look beautiful" he said in a hushed tone.
Seraphina gave a soft smile as she bit her lower lips.
'I told you, mom'
Sebastian softly placed his lips on hers, he drew her closer with his arms wrapped around her waist.
They kissed passionately but were soon interrupted by Nyla's soft gurgle
"Da..Da"
The intimate moment between the husband and wife came to a halt.
It was a surprise for both of them.
That was the first word Nyla had spoken.
They giggled happily to each other in surprise as they made their way to her.
Nyla had her little hands stretched out,
"Dada" she gurgled again.
"oh my God"
With the happiest look on his face, Sebastian picked her up into the warm embrace of his arms.
"Is that my birthday gift from you? Well, I love it, " he smiled at her.
"Let me get the cake" Seraphina stated joyfully as she made her way to the kitchen.
"Ohh yes!"

"Seraphina!" He called softly, gently tugging her
"Seraphina" He called again but she wasn't waking up, Sebastian was starting to panic.
He inhaled and exhaled loudly, his body already quivering.
"ahh!" Seraphina suddenly gasped out, sitting upright
Sebastian let out a huge sigh of relief.
"Ar.. are you okay? It looked like you were having a nightmare?" Sebastian asked with a worried tone, a visible line between his brows.
Seraphina fluttered her lashes uncontrollably.
'It was just a dream. it was just a dream'
The thoughts kept pondering in her head.
"Seraphina?" Sebastian gently tugged her again as she seemed to be spacing out.
"Are you okay?"
"I..it was just a dream" She stated flatly.
She was happy. There was nothing like Ethan or revenge.
She had a family.
"it looked like a nightmare to me" said Sebastian
Seraphina shook her head
"No. it was the sweetest dream. I..i didn't even want it to end" she admitted in a wobbly tone.
"hey" Sebastian cooed as he drew her into a hug, she looked like she was about to cry.
'I was happily married to him. we even had a baby' Seraphina squeezed her eyes shut.
It was just a dream.
But A Dream She Never Wanted To End.
She was happy,
That was all that mattered.
Just as Sebastian released her from the hug,
Without thinking, Seraphina placed her lips on his.
She kissed him.
