Seraphina clapped her hands to her mouth, her eyes widened and gleaming with fright as Edward's lifeless body was carried out of Ethan's room on a stretcher.
Seraphina had been sleeping in her room when she heard the loud gunshot.
Terrified, she rushed out of her room to Serena's loud wailing, blood stains on her clothes, and a shaking hand tightly gripping a gun.
"I..I.." Serena had struggled to utter with a haunted look on her face before she collapsed to the ground on her knees and yelled out loudly, her voice echoed with frustration.
Maid Tate had arrived and had quickly dialed 911.
And now, the house was filled with Police officers and 911 officials.
They had tried their best to revive Edward but had finally given the news that he was dead.
They took Edward out on a stretcher to the ambulance while Serena was handcuffed and led into the police truck.
It was self-defense.
But what proof does she have? Except probably Ethan, who was nowhere to be found.
She killed her lover,
Is this her end?
Serena bent her head and started to sob out slowly again, her whole body quivering.

"What..what are you talking about?" Sebastian asked incredulously.
Seraphina could hear him pacing around.
"He got shot by Serena..I..I don't know what happened" Seraphina exclaimed fearfully
"Where is Ethan?"
"I... I don't know...I don't see him" Seraphina replied, her eyes gazing around for any slight appearance of Ethan but none.
"Hello..are you still there?" Seraphina asked quietly as the call from Sebastian's end suddenly went silent.
"Take a few things you need," Sebastian stated.
Seraphina arched her brows in confusion.
"I'm coming there to pick you up, right now," Sebastian added.
He hung up quickly before Seraphina could utter any more words.
"Was that Sebastian? What did he say?" Gabriela asked from behind her.
Seraphina slowly turned to gaze at her, a line appeared between her brows. She responded with a small nod to Gabriela's query.
"He will be here to pick me up soon" she added
"I'm going with you" Gabriela blurted
"No!.. you should... you should stay Gabriela" Seraphina urged
Gabriela's brows snapped together as a visible frown appeared on her face.
"You should look for Grace, or Ethan. Just.. just do something here, okay? I will be back" Seraphina uttered.
She walked away.

"Father is dead! You and that bitch killed him!" Grace bawled, her finger pointed straight at Ethan.
Ethan was seated on the floor, his legs crossed and his palms covered his face.
"I...I wasn't even there. He asked me to leave" Ethan uttered, his tone wobbly.
Grace let out an exasperated gasp.
"How can you even think of sleeping with her when you know very well that she is your father's mistress? And..and what about Seraphina?! Huh.. aren't you married to her!! How can you be so shameless!! Now see what you have caused" she went on
Ethan swiftly jerked up to his feet, his brows snapped together.
"Shut up!!.. Okay! Just shut up!!" He yelled
Grace quivered as she took several steps back, her lashes fluttering all the way.
Ethan jerked the hem of her shirt collar and pulled her closer to him, he fixed his stern gaze on her,
"Say one more word and I will make sure you join Father on his journey to hell" he raged then sauntered away.
"You will join him first," Grace uttered in a hushed tone.

"Ahh!" Seraphina let out a shocked gasp as she felt her arm suddenly get grasped tightly, it caused her to drop the small-sized bag she was holding.
"Where are you going?" Ethan questioned Flaty as Seraphina turned to face him, a visible frown on her face.
"It's none of your business. Let me go!" She snapped
Ethan aggressively pulled her closer, his arms instantly wrapped around her waist.
"What do you think you are doing?!" Seraphina thundered as she struggled to free herself from Ethan.
"Get off her!" A voice yelled from behind.
"Asshole!" Sebastian spat out again as he forced his way between Seraphina and Ethan and forcefully pushed Ethan,
Ethan landed heavily on the ground.
"Sebastian?" Seraphina gasped out in disbelief.
"Who do you think you are?!" Ethan fired with rage as he staggered up to his feet.
Sebastian immediately stood in front of Seraphina, as if protecting her by using his body as a shield.
"Don't you dare lay your filthy hands on her!"
he fired.
Ethan let out a dry snort,
He folded his hand in a fist and immediately directed it towards Sebastian's face, but Sebastian was fast enough to give him a hard kick on his stomach.
Ethan landed heavily on the ground again, this time wincing with pain while clutching his stomach.
"How dare you!"
"Let's go, " Sebastian said to Seraphina and gently grasped her hand as he immediately picked up her bag from the ground and started to walk away.
Seraphina was still at sea with the whole thing.
She was not expecting Sebastian to stand up for her in that way.
They had talked about how Ethan shouldn't know about him but now he has publicly shown himself.
Out of the big fence surrounding the mansion, Sebastian's car was parked outside.
He led Seraphina into the car and even buckled the seatbelt before rushing over to the driver's seat.
"Hey! You! Stop right there!!" Ethan yelled
Sebastian quickly started the car and he drove off.
Sebastian slowed the car when they were finally out of Ethan's sight.
"Seraphina" He called coolly, but he got no reply.
He stole a quick glance at Seraphina as he drove on
"Seraphina" he called again
"Uhh" Seraphina finally replied, breaking out of her deep thoughts.
"Are you okay?" Sebastian asked with a worried tone
Seraphina gave a feigned smile
"I'm fine" she mumbled
Sebastian gave her a soft smile as he gently grasped her hand with one hand while the other remained on the steering wheel
Seraphina gasped at the sudden shiver that went through her bones the moment she felt his hand on hers.
"It will be fine" he cooed with a gentle smile,
Seraphina smiled back.
