Next day the infant Icarus is sent to the ancestral home of Willard clan in Britten City.
6 years later
(Training grounds)
A Chilly morning, young Icarus was running laps around with the Britten city knights.
Soon the knights started swordmanship training and Icarus went with the knight captain to start his journey on the path of swordmanship. It was the day he was gonna learn his first swordmanship technique "The Lightening Discent". It was a technique every knight in the clan learned. The direct descendants would learn clans secret techniques when they become a 4-star swordsman.
The knight captain taught Icarus about the technique, the technique was divided into 3 stages.Beginner-stage the mana becomes lightening mana, Intermediate stage one can use lightening force with swords, Advanced-stage one can apply lightening force to the body. The beginning step was to sense mana and accumulate it into lower dantian.
Icarus sat down to start accumulating mana and in a minute crimson lightening mana surrounded his body. After 30 minutes Icarus accumulated as much as mana as an 1-star knight.
The captian and guards were shocked, their was no one on continent who could sense mana in a minute but Icarus even accumulated as much mana as 1 star knight after just sensing it in a minute.It was clear Icarus was a monster, if he reaches to his peak no one in the world could rival him.
After accumulating mana Icarus stood and started practicing applying mana to the blade, as expected the result were unbelievable he was able to apply mana to the blade as a 1 star knight. He just became and 1-star knight in 30 minutes.
Icarus went to the captain and asked " I want to have a spar with the knights"
Uhhhh.... Ok young master
At the arena
One side was Icarus and on the other side Theon a 4-star knight. Theon was prohibitted to use aura.
Icarus asked Theon " Shall we begin?"
Yes! you may start, young master.
Icarus charged straight with clashed his sword filled with crimson lightening mana with theon blade.
Theon blade flew out of his hand, Theon was shocked Icarus mana filled blade was so heavy that he had doubt that he could take it head on while using 3-star aura.
Pick the sword and use your full strength!
Theon went and picked his sword, he had pride as knight he could not lose to a kid who just reached 1-star.
The battle began again
This time both of them charged at each other their swords clashed, shocking at how you look at it a 1-star swordsman resisting full power of a 4-star knight, Icarus eyes were as focused as an expert fighting his battles, he was able to dodge Theon attacks but he was both small and had less mana than Theon.
After clashing of sword for a few moments Icarus was being pushed back, Icarus jumped backwards to make distance it was like he new his pros and cons like a experienced fighter.He judged that Theon relied on heavy attacks and tried to counter it with speed.
Suddenly crimson lightening started to wrap his feets and the next moment it was a charge a such a high speed that to normal people it may seem like a person turned into crimson lightening. Icarus rushed at high speed dodging Theon's attacks and finally Icarus attacked with as much strength he could put and went for Theon's head.
Theon barely blocked the attack but he was pushed 10 meters backs.
"The spar is over" Knight captain said
Theon filled with shame left the arena
Captian goes towards Icarus
Young master, that was an unbelievable performance for a beginner.
Uh..I couldn't win at the end.
Sir Icarus, you should be satisfied with your current performance, with your performance you could easily win against a 3-star swordsman.
Whatever! I am going to my room, send books about magic to my room.
But sir, a knight doesn't uses magic.
I don't plan on becoming a knight.
