I still had some points left, so I decided to buy another template. This time, I chose Ajuka Beelzebub's template for the Kankara Formula. Ajuka is probably one of the most skillful and powerful magic users out there. However, I decided to travel to the DxD Universe without taking his place. Why? Because I kind of like the guy. Unlike Ainz and Kazuma, Ajuka isn't a main character, so there's no real danger there.
And why not take Issei's place? Well, I'm planning to test out my Lucky Lucky Fruit to see if it can steal "his" plot armor—or "her" plot armor, since I'm traveling to a timeline where there's a chance for him to be gender-bent. Plus, it would be interesting to see what it's like to interact with a gender-bent character.
I also figured out something interesting about my new devil race template: we get stronger by following one or more of the seven deadly sins. I decided to buy a whole set of evil pieces, specially tailored by me for me.
"This should be interesting," I mused. However, I knew I had to keep a low profile to achieve my goals. This world is similar to Konosuba—I could pretty much beat up everyone here, but that would only lead to more nuisances, and I wouldn't accomplish what I set out to do. I decided to create my harem here. I already have the Nazarick girls in my harem, but that was kind of cheating since they would die for me if I ordered them to. It wasn't really my effort that won them over. As for the Konosuba girls, I'm still undecided about adding them to my harem. Don't get me wrong, they're hot, but they feel more like best friends. Maybe I'll keep them as friends with benefits. But for now…"
I pulled out the Eternal Youth Potion that the original Gilgamesh found in the legends and drank it, transforming into my child form while still retaining all my skills and mental faculties.
I decided to get my first peerage member. Using Sha Naqba Imuru, I inquired about the locations of the Nordic swords and the best way to acquire them without arousing suspicion.
I gathered numerous stray devils around the churches and tempted them into stealing the swords. Many of them tried, especially with Gram, but none succeeded. That wasn't a hindrance to my plan, though, as they were merely a diversion. I stole the swords Mission Impossible-style, leaving traces among the dead strays to make it seem like they had managed to steal them and fought over who would possess them. This kept me from being a suspect.
Heaven tried to grill Serafall because of the incident, but since it was well-known that the thieves were strays—already betrayers of the devil race—Heaven had no justification to attack them.
Next, I headed to the Nordic territories with the swords and numerous other offerings like mead and porno mags for Odin. I offered a prayer to Odin and asked for an exchange of information and permission to enter their realm.
It took a lot of convincing for Odin to let me in, and I was placed under many restrictions. First, I couldn't share anything I learned from them with the outside world. All the knowledge I could obtain was limited to what was publicly available in the Nordic Pantheon—basically, the basics of runes and fighting styles they were willing to teach. Second, I couldn't bring any weapons without permission. Additionally, I had to offer pictures of scantily clad women for Odin to enjoy. That seemed fair enough to me, as my goal was to make contact with my new peerage member and seduce her into joining.
At first, I wasn't welcomed, but after a few returns and a ton of alcohol, they began to warm up to me. Eventually, I was able to casually join their feasts and eat with them as if I were their brother. Odin even granted me citizenship after I helped them with some issues involving the giants.
This granted me an opportunity to get close to Rossweisse. She was very talented and ahead of her age, which caused her to be isolated since no one her age could keep up with her. Then there was me—someone her age, technically, who could keep up with her.
As the years passed, we grew closer. She even cried when I had to leave to attend to other tasks. We exchanged teachings, and we both managed to unlock our Toki. In the second year of my stay in Asgard, I found a book on basic cultivation in Odin's library, which I shared with Rossweisse. This made us even stronger by helping us remove the things that held us back—my fear and Rossweisse's inferiority complex—allowing us to create our own inner worlds and understand our souls, which now prevented us from being mind-controlled.
In the fifth year of my stay, I took the chance to ask Rossweisse to be my queen. Odin and Rossweisse were perplexed by my request since they still thought of me as a human. But I revealed to Odin that I was the reincarnation of Gilgamesh, which was technically true since I had all of his powers and looks. At first, Odin didn't believe me, but since I had absorbed this world's version of Gilgamesh, I also had his unique Old Babylonian magic circle to prove my identity. Odin still had doubts, so he contacted the Sumerian gods to confirm that this world's Gilgamesh had been reincarnated, which they did.
Odin asked me multiple questions about my existence and why I had an evil piece set. I simply told him that I had bought them from someone, and I didn't know the identity of the seller—which was technically not a lie.
That was only the first step. I had to go through life-defying challenges set by Rossweisse's grandmother and Odin before I even got a chance to ask her. I passed with flying colors, but that wasn't enough for me. Even though they now allowed me to ask Rossweisse to join, I decided to go even further.
I tracked down the wielder of Zenith Tempest and made a deal with him before he joined the church. The deal was simple: I would pay for all the food he wanted for the rest of his life, and in exchange, I would take his Longinus Sacred Gear. Fortunately, I found a couple of fallen angels with Sacred Gear extractors to help me take his gear and complete the deal.
Normally, the extraction process would kill him, but with my expertise, I managed to keep him alive through the procedure. But that wasn't my only gift for Rossweisse. With Odin's blessing of wisdom, I managed to modify my evil pieces to offer the advantages of being a devil without any of the downsides—no weakness to light, no forced race change. The reincarnated person could keep their previous race, but with the added benefits of a long lifespan, devil magic, devil wings, and the ability to grow stronger from sins and darkness. This would make Rossweisse the perfect queen, possibly even rivaling Grayfia when fully realized.
I presented these gifts to Rossweisse, causing her to cry tears of joy. She hugged and kissed me, revealing that she had fallen in love with me. Unbeknownst to me, this was why I had to endure numerous challenges from Odin and Rossweisse's grandmother—they knew of this world's Gilgamesh's tendency to have harems and wanted to make sure I was truly willing to take care of Rossweisse.
But they didn't expect the lengths I would go to for her. Even they were surprised by my dedication. All of this preparation took me five years to accomplish
