I'm Hiroshi, just fresh out of 11th grade high school, and to me, it's become painfully clear that my life is, well, pretty mediocre. My academic performance has this infuriating consistency of being underwhelming, and it's been dragging me down. It feels like I'm constantly falling short of what I'm capable of, and that's starting to weigh heavily on my self-esteem.
And then there's my friendships. They used to be strong, but now they feel like distant memories. It's like we're all moving in different directions, and I can't help but feel a sense of isolation. Like at times I actually feel numb inside. Maybe it's partly because I've been doing the same routine over and over again. Eat, sleep, then school. My parents are not bad at all, its just there gone for majority of the day. My mom works a 9/5, and my dad is always going on business trips. I cant even recall the last time i seen him, and so I've been all alone doing the same stupid routine and it sucks.
As my summer break approaches, I can't say I'm excited. It's going to be the same old routine: uneventful days spent within the walls of my home. It's not that I don't want to change things up, but it's like this undeniable sense of underachievement has me trapped in this cycle. I'm hoping for something different, something that'll break this monotony and help me find my path to a more fulfilling life.
