Chapter 2 - THE BEGINNING

[POV - MC]

As far as I know, I don't remember my real parents.

"The more I try to remember, The more I forget".

It's like the feeling when you finally got something that you wanted but suddenly it's all gone. They call it "Infantile amnesia".

But I'm glad that I got adopted by the Nobles, They were too kind for me, for a HEARTLESS person, Maybe I'm cursed, I think sometimes. It all started at that night when our home got into a fire accident, I was in my room, brimming with darkness (My eyes are sensitive to lights)

Suddenly, I noticed some light through my windows. When I got outside, my mom hugged me tightly and said "It's okay, Don't worry---". I gasped, It was so warm, I then realized our house was burning. My mom tried to go to the door, but she couldn't cross all the fire to reach the damn door. She was so WEAK, I thought.

I could hear the voices outside. My mom said, "It'll be okay, hold my hands dear" With a genuine smile covering her cunning face.

We waited..., but the door was never opened.

The fire was spreading to us, My mom moved to the corner with me. She used something on my body and my body suddenly became cold.

[She covered him with her blood energy]

But sadly, she doesn't have enough to cover herself!

My eyes could feel the heat, My mom told me, "Close your eyes, it doesn't cover them"

But I didn't want to...Even though it was hurting, I wanted to see---

Eventually, My eyes were losing---it's light---like my life

As my tears burn in these flames...

I watched her burning.

My eyes dried off.

But something in my head said to me to "SEE".

Ahhh, I remember now, The memories of my real parents. But it's blurry---

My real mom hated me so much, she had to move from place to place for me (I don't know the reason). Eventually, one day she said, "Don't come near me, Go away as far as you can from me!"

That line is still in my head, it wasn't blurred.

"I started to move, as far as I could, and reached this land".

On the journey, I nearly lost my memories(I guess), but I got new ones here, YET---

Maybe she was right then, wherever I go, the people get hurt---

I don't deserve people, I guess.

It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light
