While traveling on the Vimana like mad, Eris asked, "How exactly will we find that place if the old Dragon started the journey on his own? He should have accompanied us, isn't it very inconsiderate of him to leave us here?"
"It's the way, nothing to worry about," said Gilgamesh, pointing, "We had our own issues to consider. Appreciating nature is much better than anything else."
On the Vimana, a huge mountain appeared before their eyes, and a deathly aura burst around as they descended simultaneously. Going down a slope, there was a subtle cave where the old dragon was waiting.
"Let's start as soon as possible!" said Gilgamesh as he descended from the Vimana and entered the cave where there was a water pond, inside which was a girl with silver hair.
"A curse that consumes the soul and memories..."
At that moment, magical recipes appeared in his mind. One blood ritual recipe after another mixed repeatedly. He wanted to find the right ingredients among all these memories to combine with this ancient dan recipe.
As time passed, Gilgamesh, unknowingly, had been standing for five minutes.
The old dragon knew that Gilgamesh was observing his daughter's condition, so he made no move and stayed silently by his side.
Eris emotionally wanted to approach, but Roxy quickly stopped her and shook her head gently, indicating not to disturb him.
Shortly after, Gilgamesh's entire body exuded a golden light, as if he had been bathed in sunlight rays, and his breath became faster and stronger.
"What a headache, but a promise is still a promise..." Gilgamesh waved his hand, and some magical fruits along with red potions appeared in his hands.
Countless medicinal ingredients were matched in Gilgamesh's mind. From the trial of countless herbs and the search for recipes he had learned throughout his life, Gilgamesh's understanding of medicinal knowledge and his effort to determine this recipe had gone beyond anyone else's. Not for nothing had he found a way to create an elixir of immortality.
Today, he exerted all his capabilities to create a medicine that would nourish the body of the girl in the water pond, and after a brief moment, he sighed deeply. People who knew about this recipe from ancient times could not even be counted as few.
"Your daughter is cursed; she has spent hundreds of years in a deep sleep from which she cannot wake up unless you decide to give your life in exchange for her release. You could be with her for at least ten more years, but that would be all," said Gilgamesh, looking at the old dragon, who maintained an ironic smile.
"I agree with that," said the old dragon and walked towards the pond.
"I have lived for several thousand years; have you even thought about what that can be? You are seeking immortality from what I could see in my visions, but truly, if you are alone, the years turn into days, and it is a deep pain."
"I don't care," said Gilgamesh, sitting on the ground, taking out a golden jug, two cups, and pouring the wine that very few in this life could taste. "As I said, I am not a father and cannot understand you, but I would be more than willing to save my children at the cost of my death."
The old dragon smiled and murmured, "You will be a good father, then. What should I do?"
After some time, Gilgamesh stood up and looked at the old dragon and then said, "This recipe is very ancient. I can try to recreate it, but it's still just the beginning with ingredients. I will need your blood in the pond; a single liter will be enough for it to work."
The old dragon looked at Gilgamesh for a long time and finally nodded his head stiffly. "There's no problem."
After some time, Gilgamesh waited for the ingredients to come together and looked at the old dragon; he nodded and began to pour his blood into the pond where his daughter was sleeping.
Roxy and Eris looked at each other with surprised expressions. What they were seeing was leaving them very astonished; how was there such a deep story in such a hidden place in the world? They didn't expect to meet a dragon in humanoid form; they had never seen one like this before, so it was amazing.
"Now start releasing your blood," at this moment, Gilgamesh looked at the crimson liquid in the pond and solemnly spoke.
When Gilgamesh's words finished, the old dragon stretched out his hand and cut his palms without any expression on his face.
When he released that blood, the crimson light cast two bloody rays resembling the bubbles of an erupting volcano. Eris and Roxy felt very alarmed as their bodies turned completely cold when they encountered this red gaze.
"Now withdraw your hand; that amount is more than enough," said Gilgamesh while looking at the liquid in the pond.
Roxy and Eris couldn't help but be amazed. This process was similar to a blood ritual, but it was not at all the same since it was a ritual to heal certain bodily dysfunctions.
At that moment, Gilgamesh released his aura, and with the tips of his fingers, a sacred light shone and pointed towards the girl's soul. Like Elaine, this girl had been cursed, and after breaking that curse, she would need to divert that cursed bond towards the old dragon.
"That's it... You will die in ten years; that is also the punishment for trying to use me," said Gilgamesh, looking deeply at the old man, then pointed, "But in this situation, I would have done the same."
The old dragon bowed and said, "Thank you for understanding me."
Leaving the cave, Eris couldn't help but ask, "How did he try to deceive us?"
"He is not from this dimension; somehow, he managed to travel between different timelines to heal his daughter, and that ultimately led him to me," said Gilgamesh with a smile because, in the end, he had to read the past of that dragon; it was more than regrettable, but he knew they would meet again.
"Let's go, we have to explore."
