Chapter 200 - The Ancient Cemetery

"Shall we move immediately towards the area where the ancient cemetery is located? Just from what we saw in the city, it means there will be many people. They are a problem considering that there will be humans and demons in one place."

Eris, who had restrained herself, said naturally, "If they're a problem, we just hit them a bit. No one would be our rival today, so we can be confident that we'll solve all problems without much effort."

Gilgamesh shook his head and replied, "It's not necessarily important to solve those problems. We can stay on the sidelines and act quietly while observing what happens. When we get tired of that, we can leave that place and take our own path."

"Can we take that freedom?" Roxy had heard the rumors about that cemetery and the disappearances in the Bone Forest. Although they were strong, they could get lost, and that might cause them setbacks.

Gilgamesh held his wine glass and gently slid the liquid around the crystal, then said, "If that place is a problem, we just have to destroy it from our position, as we have done before."

Listening to this, Roxy and Eris looked at each other. It's no wonder why wherever they go, there are simply eye-catching things. Perhaps Gilgamesh calls them unconsciously. Destruction was good, but attracting attention in that way is something that could give them a certain reputation they don't want for now.

"In reality, it doesn't matter; even if we get lost on our own, each of us except Cunsfiel would leave that forest without any problems. What intrigues me the most is finding out what caused that problem, so while exploring with the others, we will slowly learn about the environment." Gilgamesh smiled and continued, "Besides, it's not like no one knows us nowadays. We are the dynamic trio and the non-threatening divine beast; that title has been circulating in many parts of the demon continent."

During their travels, they had found numerous wonderful things, magical places, and extremely powerful beasts. In most cases, the place ended up completely destroyed, and soon their fame would be recognized when they destroyed a stampede of magical beasts with a simple attack.

Happily smiling, Gilgamesh drank the remaining wine and simply remembered the previous events.

...

The next day, while Gilgamesh was sleeping, Cusnfiel let out a shout at the entrance of the stairs to the second floor: "The underworld ship is estimated to appear in a few hours."

Gilgamesh had recently enjoyed long naps, but as he had told Cusnfiel to inform him of anything that happened, he frowned and said, "We'll be down in a moment..."

Roxy on his left side smiled and murmured, "You even get angry when you asked him to wake you up; surely things are changing."

Eris, who was lying on his right side, murmured, "I don't want to wake up..."

"Forget it, let's go to that place now." Gilgamesh got up and walked towards a large full-length mirror. Instead of his usual clothes, this time he decided to wear his golden armor. As for sleeping, they would leave that for when there was time.

"Everyone, put on your armor; let's give an appearance of intimidation to our competitors." Gilgamesh had told them that as long as there were treasures, the interesting part of their journey would be competing for them, even if they didn't care about what it was.

"Let's steal what we can!" Eris loved two things: competition and fighting alongside Roxy against Gilgamesh.

"Even if we manage to find treasures, they will all be mine..." Gilgamesh, with an arrogant smile, gave his women a subtle glance.

"What does that matter? In the end, you are ours!" Eris shouted while standing next to Roxy as if asking for her support in these words.

"That's true!" Roxy said with a calm look.

"Are we just four?" The silent Cunsfiel was a little worried and said, "Aren't you afraid of leaving Killa totally alone? There are valuable things in the house..."

"We're just going to find treasures, not to fight. Our group is more than enough." Gilgamesh waved his hand, and Killa submerged in a huge ripple while munching on carrot cakes.

Eris wore her armor with her two swords, both on one side of her hip. This time, she even wore a helmet on her left side, while Gilgamesh put on the crown he had obtained that time in the cave. Roxy also wore a set of armor along with her beautiful staff, with a sword spinning around it as if flying with magic. As for Cuanfiel, he wore black armor in his human form.

"If we don't want to attract attention, it would be impossible with this attire," Roxy said as she put on a white mask like snow.

"First, let's make a transaction!" Gilgamesh, adorned in his beautiful golden armor, earrings, and necklaces, looked into the distance with a serious expression, then spoke slowly, "Let's go to the cemetery to discover what's in that place and find out the truth. If possible, I'd like to negotiate with the dead."

"Negotiate with the dead?" Hearing these words, everyone felt a chill. Trading with the dead, this matter sounded ridiculous. But indeed, they had traded with a dead person, the merchant who should have died long ago.

"Does that anomaly have to do with the cemetery you're going to?"

"My lord, can the dead still do business?" Cunafiel, who was ready for the battlefield, couldn't help but be frightened.

Gilgamesh smiled and said, "It depends on who the dead person is and who is conducting the business. A clever person will be able to make a deal, while a fool will find their death. Since we are ready, let's go to the cemetery. Today we will learn why the dead don't leave the world in this place."

Upon hearing such a spooky and absurd matter, Cusnfiel, usually the fearful one, having lived for hundreds of years and knowing Gilgamesh better than even his wives, gathered courage and stood tall as they boarded the Vimana.

"Doing business with the dead! Even Roxy muttered.

The City of Green Oak was built very close to the cemetery. Even when the distance was so close that outside the city walls, undead were walking. These undead seemed to be Ghouls, having the strength of their predecessors and maintaining the desire to kill.

Standing outside the cemetery, the eyes and mouths of Gilgamesh's group opened wide. From the beginning, they thought this cemetery was a place where white bones were as vast as the ocean. In their imagination, the Ancient Cemetery must have been a lonely and barren land with corpse energy spanning even the sky.

However, this cemetery in front of their eyes had green hills and clear waters. Looking around, they saw undulating mountain chains and some valleys resembling a sleeping snake. In this place of sky and earth, mist was everywhere, covering the bone tree pillars that rose to the sky and the very tall springs cascading down from the mountains.

Although the landscape was full of undulating mountain chains and tall bone trees, along with very high waterfalls, one could see quite a few graves ahead. When powerful adventurers activated their special sights, they could see many incredible places. There was a coffin hanging on a cliff. Some graves were made of stone, some of wood, and some were made of gold.

There was one located on a lonely peak with a majestic aura. It was as if this coffin lay in the high sky.

There were also some coffins floating on top of a tranquil lake. At times, there were venomous snakes swimming, creating a creepy image.

"Were all these graves made by someone, or did they just form on their own?" Cunsfiel couldn't believe that this place was feared by others. He originally thought there would be mountains and rivers of bones and corpses.

"Don't people say there are undead everywhere? Why don't we see any?" Eris asked in surprise.

"Look at that group of adventurers over there." At that moment, Roxy pointed out that a group of adventurers had rushed into the depths of the cemetery.

Gilgamesh's group looked toward that place, and there was a group of adventurers leaping on the undulating mountains. They seemed to have a purpose as they looked at the entrance to a valley. There might be treasure inside, so they rushed directly with a breath of desire.

But the moment they rushed into the valley, suddenly, within the thickets and caves, many shadows appeared. They were all undead with different attire, originating from different places and races. Countless undead quickly rushed to kill this group of adventurers.

"Charge!" The adventurers who rushed in arrogantly were all battle experts, so they roared and immediately started the battle.

The undead didn't speak or roar. Silently, they fought against the adventurers. It was so strange that countless undead began using sword styles, casting spells, and techniques. Each attack carried a malignant aura as they began attacking the adventurers.

The sound of magical gestures resonated. These undead were not only able to use weapons, but they were also capable of using magic!

"Ah!" An adventurer was killed by a sword containing rotating flames like a bellows of a fire dragon!

"Those undead are extremely powerful, which means they are corpses from the second Human-Demon War."
