Chapter 192 - The Underworld Ship (1)

The Ancient Cemetery was created by the Underworld Ship when it mysteriously appeared in the sky. It is located at the southernmost end of the demon continent, and numerous demon lords were buried there. As for powerful humans, no one knew for sure if this was true.

Legend has it that countless beings were buried there, from demon lords and Sword Kings to even gods. There were even rumors that gods who once walked the earth died there.

No one knew if this rumor was true or not. However, as one of the twelve largest cemeteries in the world, it was the place where many dying demons gathered to die, find treasure, or engage in deadly battles with humans in similar conditions.

The most fascinating and tempting story was about the possibility of the rebirth of a powerful being within the cemetery. Legends say that when you die, your body becomes mana and becomes part of the world, just as the world becomes part of you. But in the cemetery, many created legends that your body remains trapped in a kind of underworld, giving you the possibility of rebirth.

As for who buried all these beings, no one actually knew for sure. This was due to one of the world's unresolved mysteries. Hundreds of years had passed, countless beings were buried in that place, even humans, but if that place really gave people that opportunity, many would have been reborn long ago.

But all that history is not directly related to the Underworld Ship because what people care about the most is being taken by that ship.

In each age, in legends, when the ship appeared in the sky, it took hundreds of thousands of corpses and disappeared from the place. Years later, it reappeared, and many boarded it, so it was said. This ship would move through the sky before descending through a forest of hyssop trees. Finally, everyone would be led by that ship to the deepest part of the forest to reach the most isolated area of the cemetery.

If a dying living being could climb aboard the Underworld Ship on their own and manage to bury themselves alive in the bone forest, where the cemetery grounds were deeper, then they could prolong their life with the help of cursed mana. This helped many to live longer.

Although this seemed crazy, the reality was that there were people who boarded the ship and were able to be guided to the right place and managed to regain part of their life by rejuvenating.

Because of this, for dying men, the Underworld Ship along with the bone forest was full of men interested in many other things related to that matter. Every man feared death; the most desperate entered the forest in small boats, but all died because the path was supposedly cursed.

"In this era, I have to rejuvenate for a few years!"

Many of those on the brink of death could not help but remove the temptation from their hearts and began to move.

The Underworld Ship quickly became the hot topic on all continents, and now with the Tower of Uruk extending its dominion worldwide, hundreds if not thousands moved on magical boats, and the gains for the Tower of Uruk were immeasurable.

This news also reached the mountain where Gilgamesh had spent the last few months.

Cunsfiel was the most vehement after hearing this news. Quickly on a flying object, he went to find Gilgamesh and said, "My lord, there is news that a mysterious ship has appeared, and it takes people to a cemetery full of treasures, valuable opportunities, and mysteries. Of course, most are interested in robbing and cheating, but many have other plans. Hehe, at this moment, everyone is going to this cemetery. Should we follow that direction too to get some treasures from that place? Maybe I'll find something for my condition..."

"A mysterious ship?" Gilgamesh, who had been cultivating his beautiful fruits of immortality, wanted to spend a lot of time in tranquility with his betrothed. Age in his eyes had ceased to be a problem, although he had not yet touched Eris; she now sleeps in his bed and occasionally participates in some special situations.

"Do you know anything about that?" Gilgamesh was not a genius in everything that happened; he barely knew 80% of the demon continent, even though they had been traveling for a year, stopping in various places for no more than a week.

Upon hearing all that Cunsfiel knew, Roxy said it was just a forbidden land after practicing dark magic in that place. All opinions were valid; the important thing was to learn much from what is known and then draw their own conclusions.

"Haha, my lord, should we wake up Killa? He's been asleep for more than a month. I think it's important to go to that cemetery and check the mysteries it hides." Cunsfiel, still ecstatic, asked Gilgamesh; he was eager to have his little one in humanoid form.

"Didn't you say you would come back with a wife when you left a few months ago?" Gilgamesh asked as he looked extensively at Cusnfiel's state.

"I did, but many things came up along the way..." Cusnfiel was quite a character, full of misfortunes. Possibly the fruit he ate launched a curse that Gilgamesh couldn't solve.

"I'll think about it; first, go and fight dressed..." Gilgamesh nodded towards Cunsfiel, and he walked away after hearing this.

"Do you want to go?"

Seeing the silent Gilgamesh, Eris walked by his side and started to caress his back. She had heard many stories from Roxy about the demon continent, and now, seeing Gilgamesh looking into the distance, she couldn't help but ask him directly.

Always being around Gilgamesh, both Eris and Roxy were already accustomed to the way he thought and the way they should act in certain situations.

"We should go and take a look, isn't it interesting? A cursed land, we might encounter interesting beings." Gilgamesh turned around and stroked the scarlet hair of this girl who now looked like a young woman of 22.

Blood rituals had been taking effect on her and Roxy; now both could easily live more than two hundred years considering the quality of their bodies. Constantly cleaning their muscles and nourishing them with blood from dragons and strong creatures had made them extremely powerful women.

"During the last few months, besides the rumors about me circulating on the continents, nothing else remarkable has happened." Gilgamesh said as his hand rested on Eris's leg without showing much importance. Throughout his life, he had been in the presence of beautiful women, but now she was his future wife, so acting like this was not abnormal at all.

Eris didn't show surprise either; she looked at Roxy, who was lying in the distance on what looked like a round pillow while studying magic.

"Will this be our last journey on this continent?" Roxy asked as she looked into Gilgamesh's eyes; she had undergone a drastic change in her character, so now that everyone was very close, they acted like a real family.

"For months, I haven't used my sword; this place no longer poses any danger to us..." Eris looked at her swords hanging on the wall and smiled bitterly. Her desires to defeat Gilgamesh had subtly changed; now she hoped to defeat him under very special circumstances.

"Do you know that place well?" Gilgamesh was sitting on a long chair and asked Roxy, who knew most of the areas in this place.

"The Ancient Cursed Cemetery, I heard that it's a place with zombies everywhere and countless corpses under the ground. Any treasure from that place is cursed by magic or battle aura full of murderous intent. We shouldn't go to that dirty place."

Emotionally, Eris asked, "Can't we bathe whenever we want?"

"It's not enough just to have strength to move in that place. Due to the magic and strange things around the bone forest, one needs special methods to move. That's why many who have gone to that place without the guidance of the ship in the sky get lost and never return." Roxy explained this while raising the glasses from her eyes.

Listening to those words, Eris said nothing more. It was just a small recommendation. Lately, having been in the most eye-catching places in the area, she wanted to explore other places before returning home.

While Gilgamesh wondered when to enter the cemetery, Roxy said, "Many will want to go to that place, just to board that ship that may be similar to the ones the Tower of Uruk manages."
