"I have to say that I, Roxy Megurida, after several years, will finally be able to return to my hometown with my future husband," thought Roxy as she sat on the back of the Great Pig Killa, who was now her great mount that would take them to their next experiences.
In the distance, she could see that the Migurd settlement had not changed in the slightest, nor had her friends and acquaintances changed in the slightest. Although from the views, it was obvious that the population had increased in the last few years she had been away.
However, for Gilgamesh, who was sitting beside Roxy, resting his head on Eris's legs, there was a ominous silence that invaded the village.
Originally, he thought it wouldn't be as silent as he had seen in Roxy's memories when he searched for who she was. But what surprised him is that this place is indeed extremely depressing for those without telepathic communication abilities. At the moment, silence engulfed the surroundings because there were no conversations among the inhabitants, all unconsciously directing their gaze towards the Great Pig Killa that had arrived in their village.
When they were close enough to the village, people could recognize Roxy, so their uneasiness soon disappeared.
"Roxy, you're back!"
"Welcome, we missed you so much!"
"You've grown a lot; you look more beautiful than the last time we saw you!"
"Who is that man next to you? Did our dear Roxy finally get a husband?"
"Eh?" Roxy felt her heart squeeze tightly, her calm hands began to tremble due to excitement, and a tear unconsciously spilled onto her cheek.
She could finally hear them all speaking to her with so much emotion and closeness!
"I told you, your telepathic ability was granted to you when the quality of your lineage evolved..." Gilgamesh held Roxy's trembling hand while looking at her with a gentle attention that gave her a warm feeling.
"I'm back!" Those were the first words that Roxy could address to everyone, the words that had been contained in her soul had traveled through the wind and were heard in the minds of all the Migurds in the area.
"What took you so long?"
"Did you finally manage to talk to us?!"
"This is incredible, Roxy finally spoke to us!"
"We are very proud of you!"
"Your parents have missed you since the day you left; you should go see them right away."
All of Roxy's acquaintances smiled and greeted in her direction, making her feel so excited that she couldn't even contain her tears.
"This place is amazing!" Eris on the side pointed to a house and, trying to ease Roxy's embarrassment for crying, pointed dramatically in the distance.
"Yes, that's a house..." Gilgamesh muttered totally uninterested in this place.
"Are you implying that I'm annoying?" Eris's hair began to rise as if infused by an invisible aura.
"Only on occasions..." Gilgamesh didn't remember when this girl started becoming much more daring; maybe she already hinted that he would never replace her.
"Ah! I challenge you to a duel, Roxy and I have been working on a powerful technique that will surprise you!" Eris said, completely excited.
Cunsfiel on the side wagged his tail and said angrily, "Who awakened this divine beast from its slumber!"
"He's alive, he didn't die!" Eris, who saw Cusnfiel, said with some joy. That dog had been sleeping for more than 25 hours, which puzzled her a lot.
"Of course, I'm alive! I just took a little nap after filling my stomach with delicious dishes!" Cunsfiel looked around and asked in disgust, "In what desert are we?"
"It's Roxy's village, watch your words..." Eris lost interest in challenging Gilgamesh when this dog woke up, without thinking that she was slightly worried that he might have died.
Roxy, in her excitement, was greeting everyone without paying attention to Cunafiel, who surprisingly also knew how to communicate telepathically. The great pig leaped and began to run from side to side like crazy, wagging its tail, and even urinating in corners without anyone seeing it.
"Today we must celebrate with a feast; Roxy can finally respond to our call!"
"That would be amazing, the hunters brought beasts that had been running due to the evil aura released in the surroundings!"
"Today, we will celebrate!"
"It's not necessary..." Roxy, embarrassed, replied to everyone with a smile on her face.
"How is it not necessary? We must celebrate this; I still remember when you were a child and couldn't speak to us openly, and we only understood your signals."
Roxy, still talking to the villagers, showed herself extremely happy. All those words that she wanted to tell them before leaving this place were finally coming out of her memories. She was extremely excited, never thought there would be a cure for her illness because she had been researching a lot at the magic school and had never found an answer to that problem.
But now she was here, talking to everyone around her with a face full of smiles and emotions that captured her so much. Squeezing Gilgamesh's hand, she wanted this feeling never to end, and the tears of excitement had soon disappeared from her face.
"What if we go to your house first and then celebrate with the resources we have?" Gilgamesh asked, looking at the excited Roxy with a smile on his face.
"I agree!" Roxy responded somewhat embarrassed to know that she had been talking silently without Gilgamesh or Eris being able to understand her.
"And we should also take a tour; we are in unknown lands, and even more importantly, places where any normal human would die." Eris had removed her armor due to the extreme heat, so she replaced it with a cooler outfit.
After a while, the great pig advanced through the streets, and its large body even destroyed some parts of the road without caring much. In a short time, the news that Roxy had returned spread throughout the surroundings, and those who were Roxy's parents appeared before them while maintaining a smile.
"Is she your mother?" Eris's eyes shone with excitement as she stood up.
"Yes, they are my parents Rowind Migurdia and Rokari Migurdia!"
"My in-laws..." Gilgamesh murmured with a very subtle look to avoid causing major problems.
