Chapter 167 - The Cause

Eris felt truly bad for not being able to accomplish what she had set out to do. She was confident she could achieve it, but at the last moment, she believed it wasn't necessary.

In Gilgamesh's eyes, Eris was a beauty capable of driving a man mad, a woman like a goddess who could steal people's souls, someone in need of care and attention. Up close, her particularly captivating and well-rounded breasts, faintly visible, made him momentarily forget his age.

Gilgamesh smiled and approached her. Using an indescribable rhythm of seduction, he gently leaned in by her ear. Then, he spoke in a tone he rarely used, reserved for very intimate situations, and said, "Do you know what cause and effect are? You are a radiant red diamond; why worry so much when you're already mine?"

After finishing speaking, he gently nibbled on her earlobe.

"Ah..."

Eris reacted like a cat whose paw had been stepped on; she gasped and wanted to pull away, but Gilgamesh held her by the waist to keep her close. Suddenly, Eris's body began to warm up, much like the rising of a hot spring. This new sensation tingled all her senses.

At this point, Eris's face flushed sensually, and her little gasp immediately caught Roxy's attention. But Roxy only smiled and shook her head, prepared to stop Gilgamesh if he continued teasing Eris.

"Gil, what are you doing in this situation?"

Her demeanor was incredibly adorable, with shyness and audacity radiating from her gaze. Instead of being scared, she felt unexpectedly happy. Any man who saw her charm would end up falling in love.

"You've truly become a beautiful, dignified, and radiant woman, surpassing any mortal treasure," Gilgamesh enjoyed this beauty in silence.

Finally, Eris managed to regain her composure, looking directly at Gil and said, "You should focus on what lies ahead; we might fall into a trap. Besides, you know perfectly well that you can have me whenever you want."

"I prefer to see you like this for a few more years," Gilgamesh wasn't in a rush to share a bed with his two women right now; he wanted to give it time and let everything develop naturally.

"Yes, well, you give me certain doubts..." Eris couldn't finish her last words when Gilgamesh's right hand began to caress her right ear.

"I will focus on what lies ahead now; you shouldn't get distracted either."

As Gilgamesh ventured deeper into the character, gazing at that massive door, a sinister dark energy became apparent. There weren't many people here, and many wouldn't dare set foot in this place.

"Does anyone have any idea what we might encounter in that place?" Gilgamesh calmly looked at the people around him.

Sitting beside Gilgamesh, Roxy couldn't help but exclaim as she looked around, "Aren't we inside the hell known as the demonic continent?"

"Don't say such terrifying things, Roxy! My grandfather used to say we manifest what we speak aloud!" Eris immediately became a bit agitated by those statements.

Cusnfiel, the faithful thief, chimed in, "Don't worry, mafias fear sacred dogs like me... Well, I'm a great sacred beast, so there's nothing to fear."

"Did you just say you're a sacred beast?" Gilgamesh stood up, looked ahead, and said, "Don't get tense; we can't escape from our own history anyway."

The scene before them was extremely unique and special; it seemed like they were in an area where darkness originated, and the giant isolated statues on the sides were just a small part compared to their surroundings.

"This is some kind of veneration zone, a unique place where darkness is revered and the light is denied... Incredible, we've traveled far and now we can't turn back." Gilgamesh felt excited; what was around them was special to him.

"There are inscriptions on the bodies of the stone giants; do you know exactly what they say?" Gilgamesh was curious about it, and Cusnfiel had extensive knowledge of this place.

"The gateway to the underworld, the cause of the effect, the palace of the Wicked Typa..."

Cusnfiel's body trembled a bit, but after thinking about who he was and who he was with, he said, "I've traveled night roads that others wouldn't dare speak of even during the day, I've spoken with gods, loved women, and written songs that are now used as counting songs... I can't be wrong, although this place shouldn't exist, we are at the beginning of everything."

Eris and Roxy felt a dark presence descending from their surroundings, something that drew them in like a magnet, bringing them closer and closer to the setting.

Gilgamesh smiled with even more interest and murmured, "I suppose it was my destiny, the one I chose, and the one that drew me here... Isn't it so?"
