Chapter 138 - The Ruins

The essence of nature in this place was exceedingly dense. In a short period of time, the fatigue of Gilgamesh's group and all the expended energy was rapidly recovering.

After they left, Gilgamesh decided to continue moving forward while he listened to the excited Eris, who claimed to be possibly the most powerful woman when it came to swordplay. If we put aside experience, her words might be true, and if not, she wouldn't be an easy rival for anyone to face.

At that moment, Gilgamesh told them about the mutations in Roxy's body and explained that the blood ritual was something he only performed on humans. Roxy, belonging to a different race, had a special bloodline, which extended her life and gave her certain characteristics, like the ability to communicate telepathically with others.

Now that he mentioned it, she should be capable of recovering her telepathic abilities, so if she tried, it was possible that she could do so. Regarding the bluish lines on her body, they were simply an effect on her body when she used her maximum combat abilities.

To reinforce his point, Gilgamesh showed them his reddish lines on his body and told them that those appeared when he used his full strength, indicating he was going all out in a fight. Otherwise, he would be facing an enemy who couldn't withstand half of his power.

After sharing this information with the girls, he started giving Eris advice on her performance in large-scale battles, suggesting that she should flow more on the battlefield, trusting her unique combat instincts.

"Everyone has a unique combat style, many confuse it with instinct, but it's much greater than that. With a battle instinct, it will tell you when the enemy is about to attack you long before they do, and you will know where to move and how to strike at just the right moment," Gilgamesh said while looking at Eris, who kept a serious expression.

There were many levels of battle instinct, and Gilgamesh had reached all of them due to his special eyes. However, Eris, with her keen gaze, had the potential to achieve incredible levels if she paid more attention to the smallest details and relied more on her instincts.

After his conversation with Eris, Gilgamesh turned to Roxy and said, "Roxy, you must find a balance between magic and melee combat. You have great potential if you manage to find a balance between these two techniques. Of course, I'm not asking you to become an expert in swordplay, but rather to use that additional capability to become unpredictable."

"Eris can help me sharpen my battle senses. I have incredible physical abilities, but I think I lack the basic knowledge of swordsmanship." Roxy nodded, determined to develop this new fighting style that could be unique in the world. She would be special, so she said, "Although I may not achieve much, I will do my best."

Eris held her hands and said, "What are you talking about? The strength in your sword movements was far from normal. I'm sure you can surpass the average knights."

Boom!

At that moment, Gilgamesh's Vimana was attacked by swift flying beasts that got dangerously close. This time, he decided not to engage in close combat and manipulated his Vimana to unleash multiple swords from his golden ripples right in front of them.

As the directed attacks reached their enemies, the swords caused devastating damage, bringing down the aggressive beasts. Gilgamesh, who had cleaned the blood off his body, didn't want to stain himself further with these mindless creatures, so he attacked from his seat on the throne next to the two beautiful women.

The manipulation of the Vimana was far from ordinary; its combat performance was something to envy, and Gilgamesh was confident that he could defeat most of his rivals in this world if he chose to do so. It wasn't arrogance; it was just a simple truth.

Gilgamesh soared through a mountain after the pursuit intensified, but the sensation of going at such high speeds made Eris and the pale Roxy release a mix of surprised and anxious screams.

Boom!

Several impacts caused the entire mountain to be destroyed, inflicting great damage in the area and killing numerous aggressive beasts that were trying to escape. This time, Gilgamesh was being followed by a monkey-like beast that looked so joyful that, in jest, he told Eris that if she didn't stop screaming, he would let the monkey give her a kiss.

"Gil, you'll make me sneak a pig to kiss you in your sleep!" Eris shouted while reaching out to pinch Gilgamesh's ribs, but the absurd increase in speed made her grip tighten.

"Wouldn't it be better if you slowed down a bit?" Clutching her hat, Roxy tightened her grip on Gilgamesh's shirt as she shouted.

At this moment, Gilgamesh released his anger on the foolish monkey that was following him, and he shot multiple swords at it, causing the creature to explode into a thousand pieces. Clearly, the paradise in this hidden place beneath the deep sea was obscured by very dark shadows because of the incredibly aggressive beasts.

"Where are all these beasts coming from?" Gilgamesh's scream seemed to pierce the earth, expressing his frustration over an unjust situation. They were the invaders, so it was normal for them to be attacked, but this was something they would not accept under any circumstances.

For creatures like these, they acted based on territories, and the entire hidden area under the sea was a well-managed region by the beasts because their territories were quite clear. Before Gilgamesh arrived, they had avoided contact, but now that many invaders had come, it led to the destruction of several territories and chaos due to the struggle for control of this place.

Boom!

At that moment, Gilgamesh began a large-scale extermination, as the beasts wouldn't leave him alone. He used his precious swords, which, after fulfilling their duty, returned to his treasury.

With a jolt, Gilgamesh's Vimana collided with a fierce beast that was torn apart completely, and thanks to the sturdy construction of the Vimana, nothing was damaged.

Blood and beast parts were sent flying in all directions, so this time, Gilgamesh took advantage of the confusion to disappear from the area, moving to a much quieter zone.

"Are we alone?" Gilgamesh asked, while looking at the clear tears in his shirt.

Eris got up from the throne as if nothing had happened and said, "It seems we are in the clear."
