As he nears the exit of the cave Enki walks face first into something! But there's nothing there…. He moves his hands around like a mime trying to figure out what is blocking him. "Is this a test?" he thinks to himself. While trying to figure out why he can't exit the cave he doesn't notice the sect leader slowly walk up behind him.
"Are you having difficulties young man?" the sect leader questioned him. "Yes, I can't seem to figure out how to get past this invisible…" he stopped mid-sentence as when he turned around there was an evil smile on the sect leaders face. Boom! The sect leader's palm slaps the side of Enki's head, and he instantly loses consciousness.
When he comes back to, Enki looks around and can see he is still in the small cave and the sect leader is sitting in a chair in the corner watching him with that sick smile. He stands up and begins to slowly walk over toward Enki's tied up body sitting in the chair. As he approaches Enki can see his hand held open like a claw and his fingertips extend and become sharp like surgical blades.
"What are you doing sect leader? I thought you wanted to recruit me?" Enki hurriedly cried out as those sharp fingers danced around in front of him… "I only want your spirit root! It's the only thing I lack and why I can't advance anymore, thanks to you that's all over! With this final sentence the sect leader draws back his hand and thrusts with fingertips through Enki's chest and grabbed the spirit root connected to his heart tightly in his hand and ripped it out!
"AHHHHHHHHHH" Enki can't even think straight anymore as intense pain wracks his whole body and he feels an unknown pain near his heart that isn't physical pain it must be his soul being ripped in half when his spirit root was forcibly removed.
The sect leader holds the glowing platinum foot long spirit root in his hand grinning from ear the ear looking more mad by the second. "I have to thank you for all your help! You have truly given me a new lease on life, I only wish you didn't have to die now!"
With that final thought the sect leader draws back his hand again and extends his blade fingers again… He plunges his hand deep into Enki's chest and grabs his still beating heart in his hand and squeezes it lightly making tremors of pain rush throughout Enki's body and making him scream out in pain. At fourteen he had no idea this level of pain even existed, he would give anything to go back to this morning, he would never even go to the awakening ceremony!
Suddenly in front of him Enki sees the sect leader is holding his heart outside of his chest… He opens his mouth wide like a vampire or a demon of some sort and sinks his sharp teeth deep into the meat of Enki's heart. Another round of pain goes through Enki's body. Finally, the sect leader shoves the whole heart in his mouth and swipes his hand across Enki's neck throwing his head across the room and spraying blood all over the inside of the cave. It looked like a massacre as the sect leader swallowed the heart and continued to devour his spiritual root.
The sect leader's body glows brightly as he advances by one large and several small realms finally reaching into the Ascension realm!
Moments later, Enki wakes up in the corner of an alley as he hears the ringing of a bell. Bong Bong Bong Bong
