After sending out a death pentagram and trailing its track, many parts of the mechs I sent could be found scattered across the path we blazed.
It would only be a matter of time until all of our mechs got annihilated and we must face those horrors of the voids head on.
Those towering monsters, with their eerily familiar rifle that wouldn't stop when it hits its target, as it corrodes the shadow it touches and makes them hunt for our bodily existence.
I can't afford a single mistake…
This anxiety might kill us before those bullets do.
"Shujang, can you apply those healing magic at greater amounts, once again?"
Shujang looked devastated upon hearing it. I just brought her to the world of living but she might be the most empathic person I have ever met.
She also knew that the ordeal we were facing was not the time and place for hesitation. So as she slowed her steps to perform a Blooming, she gave her last warning for me to heed.
The green hue of her spirit couldn't ever be brighter in my sight.
"What I'm about to cast on you is nothing more than the blessing of the deity I followed in its entirety. And due to the nature of a blessing, it won't be the same if the blessed gave it to a pariah outside of the mountain of faith.
"I don't know how long I have died, but if the deity I prayed to is still somewhere within the influence of Hisoutenshizen, your soul will be connected to her. Be wary, despite the blessing she gave me, she is not the kind deity you think she is."
Micca could only watch with heartache, something that was very prominent on her frowning face.
"Don't worry, I'm good with math."
Green strings of golden outlining began to snake towards my soul. These strings were clearly different from those that our spells produced.
Unknown fuel of unbelievable magnitude began to stream near-endlessly into the veins of my gasping soul. This encroaching warmth healed me to the brim, yet it brought me an insatiable flame of wrath and madness.
Its crackling pyre seared its heat deep inside those veins, reshaping them—molding them into thorns and chains.
"Can you hear us, Occam!?"
I could faintly hear Shujang's voice. It was a blur, but it was enough to reel me back into reality.
"Scarlet sleeves waving with tamagushi~ offerings and ringing bells~" A divine voice seeped itself into the edge of my soul. "Daresay, of course, if you are to dance in the gods' presence on this festival day~
"Go take up the burning sasaki branches with paper streamers~
"Let, us, dance together~ as we call out and let our music ring~!"
The fervent beat of offering began to form a well inside my soul.
"Let's go," I said to Micca and Shujang. "Let's chase the light at the end of this tunnel."
I performed my Blooming, seared by the waves of tea-green hue. Hints of black and white could be seen on the coloration as of now, but in the end, it managed to replace the former radiant blue. Seeing how the healing effect that Shujang usually casts still persists continuously as long as the 'blessing' remains latching on me, I decided to stretch the intensity of my Opening and Gathering even further.
In just two seconds of it, I have managed to gather enough energy with this unique property that amounts to ten times more than I usually did.
That energy was then used to modify Micca's guns with many experimental types of ammunition, such as a void-horror-seeking and concentrated molecular destruction, while also decreasing the weight of the instrument by using a lighter yet stronger material. A retractable bayonet had also been installed on every gun in the form of a heat-saber fueled by a 'fantasy' mini-particle accelerator.
Turns out, with this Creation Magic of mine, you can brute force any theoretical technology into existence if you have enough brain processing power.
I also gave Shujang the same treatment with her armor and her flesh, turning her body into a near cyborg-state, while giving all of the modules needed to control the mechs we have and those that I'll create in the future, along with anti-gravity boots whose setting could be modified in the same way the mech should be controlled.
And with how I'm able to practically insert a knowledge inside the body before her soul got yanked into it, I sent out the manual on how to utilize all of the new features I gave her––
Before I created three human-sized versions of OMS Mechs where its body structures were segmented and controlled by magnetic forces, capable of dislocating their entire body to attack and escape an unblockable attack. Those segments could be manipulated by Shujang's newfound feature of her body.
"Urrgh," Shujang groaned as she held the pain of new memories forcefully inserted into her factually artificial brain. "... More upgrades, huh." She laughed confusedly. "These modifications are quite the overkill, though."
"Not for the Screamers." It was rude of me to deen her as such, but it was a needed course of action. "Protect me for a minute, I'll perform another Blooming."
"Whooaah!" Micca dual-wielded her new guns, igniting the 'swords' as they emitted a constant, low-pitched hum—layered with intermittent crackling sounds, similar to the sound of an electrical arc or a powerful laser. "Aren't these just light-saber!??"
"Those are just a strong concentration of heat, not a literal 'saber' of light. They are both a form of energy, but they aren't the same."
As the divine singing voice of the blessing permeated itself onto me, I began to bloom incessantly to light the starry night. "Looking far off into an uncivilized land of illusion~ I pray that there may come, one to govern it all~!"
