Have you ever tried forcing a full grown cat to take a bath?
Both Micca and I were doing the equivalent of it, which is trying to shove this passerby of a spirit into the kitsune body that I painstakingly created.
Of course, the only thing that could interact with spirit is only spirit and other few exceptions Micca didn't tell me. But as of now both of us have imbued our arms with the 'tentacles' of our soul, the very same thing we used to gather the generated energy from the fused ENEs after the Opening phase of a Blooming.
"Urgh! This spirit put up quite a fight!" Micca cried as she tried to single-handedly pull the poor ghost with all her might.
"I mean, having someone jumping on you and then trying to shove your dead-self into a foreign body is not a pleasant experience," I said, while I cast out many limbs coated with my soul's tentacles to commit what might be a crime on earth, shoving a dead person into a duffel-bag-equivalent.
Did this count as necromancy I wonder?
"UUUOOOOO!! ALMOST THERE!"
The moment the elf-like spirit loosened her strength, we sent her out to her new body as if we were throwing a heavy trash bag into a clear river.
The spirit let out an unholy screech.
Micca then performed a quick Blooming, enough to cast a spell to bind the spirit at the same position of the body.
"Father, now!"
And despite my tired soul and mind, my fervent curiosity allowed me to perform one more Blooming to put all of the theory into practice.
"Righty'o!!"
If one needs to painstakingly recreate the 42 anchors to fully integrate its sentience onto a physical vessel, then I'll do what has been proved to exist, albeit without any knowledge on how it works.
That was, to overlap the axis of the soul and the body and lock the projection into the place of the physical vessel!
"Ah! The spirit began to fuse!"
Numerous golden strings were sent by my body to ensure that every nook and cranny of the soul were in the place they were to be.
It didn't take a minute for the panicking gasps to show on the formerly lifeless kitsune body.
"AAAAAAAAARHH!" The kitsune lady went into CM, A.K.A Cuckoo Mode. With swirling pupils and hands on her cranium, she began to roll around on the grassy soil. "MEMORIES! UNKNOWN MEMORIES ARE FUSING WITH MEEEE!"
"I guess the knowledge and personality I set onto the kitsune body began to permeate with the spirit's memory." Still watching the tortured former spirit on the ground, I inquired my curiosity to Micca, "Will this lead to permanent aftereffects?"
"Definitely. Does my father feel sorry about her?"
"Nope, I barely know her. In this case, the unfolding science is more important than the wellbeing of the deceased. How about you?"
Micca snickered. "I attacked the first 'Knowing Hardness' I ever encountered in the hope of finding out whether I can make a soft yet durable bed out of it or not, knowing full well the consequences if I failed."
"I guess that level of curiosity is what makes your kin wander the world in search of knowledge and wisdom."
"Who knows, we might just be dumb rabbits trying to make sense of those moving shadows on the cave's wall."
It didn't take that long for the new kitsune to calm down. Immediately after, Micca began to info dump on what just happened to her. And because the kitsune is already capable of conversing in our language due to the memory I implanted into the body, I could understand what the two of them were talking about.
Afterwards, the kitsune established a telepathic channel with me. Unlike the resonance, I only need a means to convey my words instead of my whole thoughts like what the moose deity did.
"So, to summarize everything." She sat cross legged as one arm covering the skimpy part of the dress. With a face that looked like she was having a painful migraine, the kitsune massaged her cranium with her other thumb. "This Knowing Hardness was a reincarnator from another world, and he made this perfectly simulated humanoid anatomy out of curiosity, and the two of you yanked my wandering spirit into this vessel for no particular reason than to test out your theory about the soul integration of the artificial body?"
""Yep.""
"Yeeeesh." With furrowed eyebrows, the kitsune latched her eyes onto Micca's wound. Immediately after, she stood up as if she launched herself to the air, slowly floating towards Micca's stilted hand with a face full of worry. "That uneven amputation. No, quite a chunk of the flesh and bones were torn off and were temporarily replaced by Lapias mushroom. Did you do this procedure on your own?"
"No, father did this for me," Micca answered as she blushed.
Her eyes darted towards me. It felt surreal knowing that she possessed the same face as my former self.
"Father, mmm. I won't question how that works, but I did sense a strong bond between the two of you, albeit not a natural one." The kitsune of my creation then faced me with a half-lidded gaze, and a rather astonished smile. "The body is already reconnected with the cut-off segment of the arm, all that it needs is time to heal naturally. You did a great job."
I stretched my exhausted stubby blob to form a thumbs up. "Everything for my wonderful daughter!"
"Though, it seemed like we didn't have much time." She then performed a Blooming of her own. Instead of the usual blue hue that we emitted, hers was that of gentle green. All while she was able to speak and maintain her focus at the same time, "Ah, right. The name's Shujang, a former Nature Shaman. Albeit, this body already possessed the name of Isanoria. Feel free to refer to me as either, both of you."
After her Blooming finished, she reached out one of her hands to me. Numerous golden strengths attach and disappear immediately after giving me a vigorous bliss, as if all of my mental and physical fatigue was stripped away.
Her other hand was grasping the splint that held the near lifeless segment of Micca's arm, transferring a greater amount of healing force.
