Chapter 31 - 030: Planting Roses pt.2

The artifacts are not any hidden worldly treasure or anything. In fact, they are just common-quality artifacts that can be easily bought in any treasure shop.

What caught Zemirah's attention was not the quality but the artifact's appearance. although low in quality, the artifacts look exquisite. Every artifact has its own unique appearance that is pleasing to the eyes.

Zemirah has seen many artifacts but not many paid attention to the outer appearance. The forging masters all focus on the artifact's effects as the priority while the appearance ranks last.

Now seeing a bunch of beautiful artifacts, Zemirah's attention was picked.

There are a total of 8 artifacts in front of her, all common-quality grade 1 artifacts. 5 low-stage, 2 mid-stage, and 1 high-stage artifact.

Half of them are weapon artifacts such as 2 swords, a whip, and a spear. 3 are ornamental artifacts while the last one is a music artifact, a flute.

Zemirah's eyes brightened at the sight of the flute artifact. Though low in quality, she did not worry about their quality since she could have higher quality ones when gifting away the items.

Isn't it the perfect gift she was looking for?

Give this one to Roch then she'll be rewarded by the System with a better one. That reward can be given to Roch when the time comes. He has been looking for a suitable Grade 2 artifact but never found one. His current flute artifact is just a Supreme-Quality Peak-Stage Grade 1, though it was special enough that Roch used it for his battles.

The flute artifact in front of Zemirah was like the beautiful cold blue sea that depth mortals can't fathom. Also like the freezing immortal summit that mortals could never climb.

The deep blue and light blue colors intertwined intricately. Patterns like clouds, frost, and wind were drawn beautifully.

There are no unnecessary decorations but the whole flute was carved with great care. The forger may not be a master in terms of creating powerful and high-quality artifacts, but it was a beautiful masterpiece for Zemirah.

She liked it at first sight and liked it more when she thought how this would complement Roch's temperament.

For her, he was like the deep sea and tall summit.

Unfathomable.

Timeless.

When she thinks of the reward she may get from giving this to Roch, she can't imagine what would it be. She felt that her imagination may not be enough to imagine what would surpass this beautiful flute.

Zemirah stopped her thoughts and spoke, "Senior, please give me a price."

The old man whose face was covered by his hat as he slept suddenly stirred, "What?" The sleepy old man asked grumpily.

"The price for the artifacts, Senior." Zemirah was not impatient.

The old man stared at her for a while before speaking, "1 spiritual stone for 2 artifacts."

Zemirah knew she was being ripped off. How could a Grade 1 artifact be sold for a spiritual stone, only Grade 2 items are qualified except for Supreme-Quality and the legendary Celestial-Quality.

Zemirah smiled sweetly, her fox eyes shining with slyness. "If I buy all of the artifacts, can you add another one, Senior?"

Zemirah doesn't care much about the price, she just wants to have the beautiful artifacts. The more, the better for her.

The old man raised a brow, not believing her at all. After all, who would be so foolish to buy with a spiritual stone?

Roch, who was silent on the side, watched Zemirah hand four spiritual stones to the old man. He can feel that the old man is just at the Peak-Stage of the Energy Refinement Realm. He could suppress him as long as he showed any malicious thoughts.

The old man who was staring at the bunch of spiritual stones in a daze seemed to feel something. He felt cold and shivered.

He was stunned and was about to wonder how could he feel cold in the middle of the day when his attention was back on the spiritual stones.

He thought of the last artifact he kept aside from the ones on the stall and took it out. "Here, how about this?"

It was a brush artifact.

The brush was made of unknown dark wood, on a closer look, it was blue that was so dark it was unnoticeable.

The brush was simple but the part near the brush hair was carved. Zemirah saw a dragon and phoenix dancing together. The carving was so skillful that the dragon and phoenix seemed to be alive.

She can imagine the five-clawed golden dragon dancing in the sky along with the heavenly phoenix.

It was unknown what attracted Zemirah to the brush but she liked it. Maybe more than the flute.

"Okay, here's the payment, Fellow Daoist." Zemirah handed the spiritual stones and got the artifacts she wanted.

The old man happily kept the spiritual stones in his body and started packing his stall. Many eyes were already attracted to their side and the old man was starting to feel the danger.

Zemirah could see it too but she was not worried as she could defend herself well. Even if a Mind Activation Realm cultivator came, she had the confidence to escape with her life intact.

Roch also did not care and used his divine consciousness to release pressure on the watching cultivators.

Dozens of cultivators who were just brewing plans in their hearts suddenly changed their faces when feeling the oppressive pressure.

"F*ck, a Foundation Building Realm cultivator."

"Why is a Foundation Building Realm cultivator in this barren place."

"Stop looking, do you want to die?"

"Sh*t"

Curses couldn't stop pouring deep inside as no one dared to speak out loud. Many of them pretended to look around just to avert their gaze anywhere but the place where Zemirah and Roch stood.

The old man also felt it and was stunned. Never expected that this person would have such a high cultivation at a young age.

When he came to his senses, he immediately realized that this was an opportunity to escape when the attention was not on him.

So, the old man used a secret technique to escape.

Roch noticed it but did not care.
