Chapter 16 - The Rebirth of Magic Part 1

In my current state, I had no idea what my future was to become, but I knew it wouldn't be good.

It was too painful. It was just too much for me to deal with.

It is heart-wrenching to witness the deaths of not just humans but also non-human beings, which seem to be occurring with alarming frequency.

The recent occurrence of these events, I am forced to consider the notion of whether there is a cosmic force at work here, with perhaps an ultimate goal of total genocide, of obliteration of humanity altogether.

...

The sensation of waking up in the middle of a forest with a throbbing headache that made me feel dizzy, as if I was spinning around the entire world, was overwhelming.

I was feeling sickly and weak, as though I had been hit by a truck or something similar.

As my eyes focused, I realized that I was in the middle of the forest.

My head felt like it was spinning, so I sat down on the nearest tree stump and tried to catch my breath.

I looked around the forest and saw nothing but trees.

I was alone. I didn't know where I was.

I looked up at the sky and saw that it was getting dark.

The sensation of magic coursing through my veins was unlike anything I had ever imagined. It felt as though I could conjure flames with a mere thought, or command the very lightning from the heavens. Despite my initial ignorance of all things magical, the training bestowed upon me by the enigmatic Spirit Seth had kindled a spark of understanding within

The night sky was filled with stars, but the moon was nowhere to be seen.

I had to get out of the forest, and fast.

As I got up and started walking, I noticed, I was walking too fast, this wasn't normal for me.

As I moved, I could feel myself moving faster and faster.

The ground was flying by underneath my feet, and soon, I was running at a speed I never thought possible.

I had no idea where I was going, but I didn't care.

The wind was rushing past me, and the trees were a blur as I ran past them.

I ran until I couldn't run anymore, and then I stopped.

I took a deep breath and looked around.

I winced as I felt a sudden pang in my head, just like the time Seth touched me there. Memories of that day came rushing back to me and I suddenly remembered the words Seth had said before he vanished - did he have something else he wanted to tell me? As I desperately tried to recall what it was, I realized that his message was lost forever.

Seth had been like a mentor to me, but also like a friend. No one else had ever spoken to me without actually speaking, yet I could still hear his gentle voice in my head. His memory was like a barrier between us, preventing me from connecting with him, though I couldn't understand why. Despite this, there was something hidden inside that I knew would eventually unravel.

After all that pain, suffering, training, i forget why it happened, he touch me, told me that was his final word, that he couldn't do it. But, he does something, put into me the powerful, hidden magic technique knowledge into my soul.

There was no pain, suffering, no explanation, no warning, no training, and the same words echoing through my head.

The night sky suddenly turns as black as ink, and a blanket of stars twinkle like diamonds against its midnight canvas. The air blazes with a daunting chill. The Wind blew through the leaves, and an owl calls ominously into the night.

I want to feel stronger than before, stronger than a common demon, but – Why I can't become stronger enough? My loyal butler, who dies from protecting me.

My first ever mentor, Seth, who has dis-sapper into dust sparkly lightness. The life or death had been experienced, the feel of living.

At least that, and the worst part about is, I can't make feel the feeling of remorse and my true happiness.

I clutch my fist, which hurts tremendously, as tears fall to the ground like rain. My mind spins wildly, and I'm not thinking straight. I hear an ear-piercing cry coming from above and my mind begins to wander.

What is something you can do or not can do. That was my question.

There was an empty sensation throughout my entire body, as if I wasn't real, but only in my mind. Everything around me looked unreal and vague, as if it wasn't there, but I knew it was because I was sitting down on the hard ground.

I close my eye, sense a bit of flow of mana course through my veins and all of a sudden, my heart begins to pound heavily, as it's going to break down into millions of pieces.

My eyelids were closed tightly, while my fists were clenched. I could feel every pulse in my heart.

My body trembled as my lungs filled up with oxygen.

I clenched my teeth together in a desperate attempt to stop my body from shaking, but it was futile.

My breath quivered, as did my eyes.

I could feel the burning overwhelming me, my pulse racing.

My hands began to tremble as the tears rolled down my cheek.

I had so much life, had hopes and dreams, but I had failed them all.

My heart pounded hard, as if it was trying to escape.

Then- a small little bit of ominously of flashes,

as though lightning had struck the ground in the distance, illuminating the darkness for just a split second.

I knew then that something was coming, something that would change everything.

I felt a surge of power within me, the same power that Seth had bestowed upon me before he vanished into thin air.

It was a power that I had never felt before, a power that made me feel invincible.

I closed my eyes and focused on the magic coursing through my veins, letting it fill me completely.

When I opened my eyes, the forest around me had changed.

The trees had become twisted and gnarled, their branches reaching out like claws.

The ground was cracked and dry, like the desert.

And in the distance, I could see a figure, shrouded in darkness, walking towards me.

I knew then that I was not alone, and that something was coming for me.

I took a deep breath and prepared for battle, my hands already crackling with magic.

The figure was magical-beast like form, it walked in its human-form, had the humanoid head like a jackal, yellow top part and the more demonic redish top part head. Large demonic wings on its back, however, it lack the tail, was walking weird to toward me.I trembled as I stood on my two small feet and heard the bizarre creatures of human form talking around me. They were both frightening and captivating, leaving me feeling uncertain if I should stay or run away.

I could ever heard this creature was saying something like, I need food, human fodder. Was words are saying, which is scaring and creepiness the thing is saying, it's so spookily and odd creature speaking and had two voice saying it.

With its menacing look and piercing yellow eyes, it continued to stand tall above me.

I could be more terrify looking at such a terrifying creature, whatever, this creature was saying- 'Need Food, Human Fodder.'

What is the possible chance, to fight back this giant such bizarre creature? I was taking in child form, mother, father, please watch over me, I thought to myself as I raised my hands, What is the possible chance to fight back this giant, such a bizarre creature? I was taking in child form, mother, father, please watch over me, I thought to myself as I raised my hands, getting into a fighting stance since I don't have any magic.

"This human, look tasty," the beast growled as it advanced towards me.

Those movements of this creature, can I defeat it without any weapon or spell.

I took a deep breath and tried to focus my thoughts. I couldn't let fear consume me. I had to fight, even if it meant fighting with my bare hands.

As the creature loomed over me, its sharp talons ready to strike, I dodged to the side.

Need strategies, I thought to myself. I had to be smart and use my surroundings to my advantage.
